Modern Eco Tiny House

This beautiful eco tiny house is a modern version of the traditional Australian shed. It is built entirely by hand, complete with restored furniture & bamboo floors. Surrounded by greenery, it is split-level, with a mezzanine bedroom, small modern kitchen & bathroom. Its private but not totally secluded as you will sometimes see one of us walk past. NB: Brisbane can be hot & humid from November to March. There is a fan but no air conditioning, so this may be a consideration for some guests. The space We are LGBTQIA+ friendly and arty and welcome guests from diverse backgrounds and those interested in urban eco living. We are respectful of guest privacy, but as it's a small yard, you will sometimes see one of us in the garden so it's not the ideal place for a secluded romantic getaway. Attached to rainwater and solar power, this beautiful eco cabin is a modern version of the traditional Australian shed. With a split-level mezzanine bedroom, it has a modern kitchenette and bathroom. It features recycled timber, found and restored furniture and eco-friendly bamboo flooring. Our pride and joy, built by hand with particular attention to aesthetic detail. We'd love to share it with you. Help yourself to the veggie garden - We often have fresh herbs, papaya, lemons and tamarillos (tree tomatoes) when they are in season. NB: all the water in the kitchen and bathroom is perfectly safe to drink. The rainwater tank is only connected to the toilet and washing machine. Guest access Come and go as you please. Fully self-contained and detached from the main house with ample street parking. The entrance is down a short path around the back with your own access and key. The cabin is quiet and in the backyard surrounded by greenery. Other things to note Although it's a detached dwelling, the tiny house is part of our home and it's important for us to feel safe and comfortable. Therefore we only let guests who have a history of positive reviews stay. Guests with no reviews/no profile information will not be invited to stay, sorry, we've had some bad experiences. But if you have no reviews because this is your first experience with Airbnb then please let us know when you request to book. The loft stairs are quite steep so if you prefer there is a comfy queen-size sofa bed on the ground level that we can make up on request. We have a small two element gas cooktop stove but no oven. Happy for guests to use one of our ovens if you really want to cook up a storm. All towels and linen provided. We live in a sub-tropical climate, so we do have insects or other little friends at times. There is no TV but we have great wifi with unlimited download so you can stream your favourite shows on your device.
