The space The Front Porch offers boutique lodging and a one of a kind of Hidden Bath experience with private outdoor soaking tubs and a custom cedar sauna. With a number of unique and cozy studios nestled around a beautiful private courtyard, we are sure to have the perfect space for you. Boutique style bedding, hypo allergenic linens and an award winning Casper mattress make sure a perfect night of sleep. Hand crafted with redwood perfection, the Cabin is one of our personal favorites! This pioneer palace has old time vibes. If you want Netflix be sure to bring your own device because the only tv is a small old school television with a VHS in the loft. This space welcomes you sit around the table and play games while cranking up the tunes on the ancient radio. You can cozy up with a sweet book or engage in good old fashion conversation. The Hidden Baths. Our guests enjoy exclusive access to our luxurious cedar sauna and private outdoor soaking tubs. This one of a kind experience is included with your stay and we encourage you to take full advantage of it! Use of the tubs is first come first serve. With a number of highly unique private tub spaces you are sure to find something magical! The Area. Welcome to Humboldt! Come explore a land of ancient redwood forests, wild rivers and secluded beaches. We are centrally located between the two largest Old growth Redwood Forests in the world with Redwood National Park just 30 minutes to the north and Humboldt Redwoods State Park 40 minutes to the south. The Town. Arcata is hip! This cute and cozy oasis is within walking distance to Arcata's Plaza with local shops and amazing restaurants, great yoga studios, fantastic breweries and more. Humboldt State University and the Arcata Community Redwood Forest are just a three minute drive away. The Arcata Marsh and Wildlife Sanctuary is less than a five minute walk down the street and the Ma'leil beach and Dunes are a fantastic adventure that's just down the road on Samoa Boulevard. Our close proximity to down town and HSU makes getting around easy. Explore the town in style on one of our complimentary vintage community bicycles. Arcata requires a 12% short-term occupancy/bed tax (required from all hotels and vacation rentals in Humboldt County.), and AirBnB does not collect this tax so you will receive a special message from us with an alteration to your rate to include that tax. Pets. We are pet friendly! If you are bringing a pet please be sure to read our pet policy and notify us at the time of booking. Please note: Our $40 pet fee helps us cover the basic costs of cleaning and extra wear and tear these fur buddies naturally bring. Pet policy violations that incur added cleaning time will be taken from your deposit. Thank you for being a responsible pet friend! Other things to note Parties are NOT ALLOWED anywhere on the property. Additional guests are NOT PERMITTED at any time. All of our units are NO SMOKING and guests will be charged $250 if evidence of cigarette smoking is found in the unit.
