"Bloomin' Acres" Peaceful Country Homestead

Bloomin' Acres, (our mini farm) is the ideal, peaceful country setting. A little off the beaten path is where you can feel welcome, and relax as a destination, or on your way to your next adventure. We are located ... Near I-70 and 1.5 miles from 40. Less than 12 minutes from DePauw University, and the Greencastle Town Square (8.4 miles), where there are several restaurants! 20-25 minutes (24 miles), from Rose-Hullman Institute of Technology. Right in the heart of Covered Bridge Country... The space Our home sits on 25 private partially wooded acres, so there are walking trails where you can unwind, and explore, or maybe you would just like to relax by the koi pond and enjoy some of our beautiful garden spaces. There are many places where you can sit and enjoy nature, while sipping some tea or coffee, any time of day or night. If you enjoy ‘star gazing’, this is your place! Since there is no light pollution where we live, stars are very visible when not cloudy. You are welcome to bring your telescope! Our ‘welcoming committee’ consists of 3 very friendly dogs. They are Rescues, as are our 3 cats. Guest access In our home, you will have your own large private bedroom and bathroom, ( located off front entrance), which includes a couch seating area, desk, and queen size bed. There is a television in your bedroom and good WiFi. The kitchen is nearby, and you are welcome to free coffee or tea, and fresh fruit anytime. Will make room in our fridge, should you want to bring some extra food items for breakfast, or other... If we have ample notice, and for small fee, can have food items on hand such as bagels, yogurt, etc... Just let us know what you'd like? We do kindly ask, that you take off your shoes before or upon entering. You are welcome to wear your indoor slippers. Please also make sure, to turn off lights in room and bath when not in use, and when out for day. During your stay We are on the go quite a bit, but love to share stories, and help our guests in any way possible with suggestions, such as things to do, and places to eat. Other things to note Our home is not childproofed so we ask that no-one under the age of 5 stay at our property. Sorry and thank you for understanding.
