Twin room in Cotherstone Cottage, Teesdale

Two comfortable bedrooms, one twin, one double(listed separately) available in a cosy traditional cottage close to the river Tees, Barnard Castle with the Bowes Museum, the 'The Witham' arts centre, Lartington Hall, Eggleston Hall Gardens, High Force waterfall, Hamsterley Forest, Kynren at Auckland Castle, the heart of the Yorkshire Dales and less than an hour from the Lake District. You’ll love my place because of its location in a picturesque village with two welcoming pubs and lovely walks. The space My house is located off the main road in a quiet, peaceful back lane overlooking fields with horses, sheep and cows. The bathroom which has a roll top bath and vintage mirror overlooks countryside. The sitting room is furnished with 1930's furniture (including flying ducks over the mantlepiece!), period fireplace, and has a piano guests are encouraged to use. You'll be served a delicious home-cooked breakfast in the spacious breakfast room and I can provide evening meals if required. The bedroom has antique (and comfortable!) bed with fresh linen and towels and a lovely view of the back garden. It's only five minutes from Lartington Hall and 25 minutes from the fantastic Kynren event at Auckland Castle. There are 2 pubs within walking distance that serve real ale and home cooked food. Guest access You have a bedroom, exclusive access to a bathroom and sitting room with wide screen TV. You'll have breakfast in the family breakfast room. You'll have access to the back garden with chairs and tables to relax. During your stay I live in the house and work locally so I'll always be nearby to help with any problems or questions.
