Koyari Vacation Home - a place for family bonding

Koyari is a unique Vacation Home, themed on a traditional Konkani rural house, set in a tranquil 2 acre organic farm in an idyllic village, Gimavi near Guhagar. The house although rustic in style has all modern amenities, providing a delightful and comfortable stay. It is an ideal destination for families with young kids and/or senior citizens travelling together. Since we host only 1 group at a time guests enjoy full privacy with a unique relaxing & rejuvenating experience. The space Koyari Vacation Home in a tranquil village setting is situated just 16 Km inland from Guhagar which means its within easy reach of all temples, beaches and tourist attractions, yet an ideal distance away from the crowded tourist places. The house is approximately 1400 sft, complemented by a large 800 sft covered Padavi/Patio at ground floor. For guests usage we have at ground floor one large AC Bedroom capable of sleeping 4-5 persons comfortably with attached full bathroom and western WC. A non-AC but very comfortable and cool Lounge/Bed area which can sleep 2-3 persons comfortably with attached western WC and separate bathroom. The large Verandah (Padavi) serves as a semi-enclosed living area where a cozy built-in seating has been provided for endless chat sessions, board games and friends & family bonding. The other half of the large Verandah (Padavi) is a semi-enclosed dining area capable of seating 8 persons for a truly devine outdoor dining experience. The front yard or aangan serves as a play area for children during the day and for sitting & chatting around a campfire and stargazing on clear nights. To keep young kids occupied, we have a carom board, badminton kit and for elders a TATA Sky connection with LCD TV and WiFi with Inverter back-up. A third separate Indian WC is also provided, which can be accessed from outside for use by drivers and support staff accompanying guests. We have recently launched 2 AC Deluxe Double rooms (Bakul & Chafa) in a cottage in the same premises which can be booked separately. Guest access Guests enjoy full privacy with a separate & lockable access to the ground floor areas. Guests can enjoy all spaces at ground floor and the surrounding farm for their wellness experience. Please note that the first floor bedroom is not available for guests as it is reserved for the Owner of the property. This does not affect guest privacy as the guest areas have a separate lockable access at ground floor. The house sits in the middle of a 2-acre orchard with fruit trees such as Hapus Mango, Chicoo, Amla, Banana, Coconut, Avocado and Berries. Regarding usage of kitchen, only Mothers with infants are allowed access to the kitchen for warming milk or preparing any kids meals. We prepare tea/coffee and serve warmed meals from the kitchen, which is why it is closed for general usage by Guests. We organize tasty, wholesome and hygienic home cooked meals from neighbors on advance request. Other things to note Smoking inside the house is strictly prohibited. Guests are advised against having parties or loud conversations or playing loud music after 10 pm to maintain the tranquility of the village and to avoid disturbing the neighbors. No pets are allowed inside the house. Vegetarian Food: We organize at reasonable additional charges fresh, tasty and hygienic home cooked vegetarian food with traditional Konkani flavor from friendly neighbors on advance request, which covers Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner meals. Tea & Coffee is prepared & served by our staff on the premises as per your requirements, along with bottled drinking water which we provide at very reasonable rates. You are urged to order food well ahead of time and allow enough time for food preparation as these are simple villagers who need enough time to make you that great meal! Your are welcome to have your meals outside if you wish, however getting packed food from outside to be consumed at Koyari is not permitted. Non-veg Food: A reliable and safe source of chicken or fish is not available locally in the village. If Guests get the raw chicken or fish, we can arrange for the preparation from a neighbor at additional nominal charges per kilo of fish or chicken, prepared as per your requirement. We also have our very own Nature Interpretation Center 'aranyavat' which Guests can visit and experience. Its a great place to learn about the immense biodiversity of Konkan.
