This 17th century canal house located in the heart of Amsterdam is ideal for couples or families who want to experience Amsterdam as a local. Our apartment studio has a comfortable bed, a great living area and also the bathroom is completely new. The location is amazing as it is located in the middle of the Jordaan filled with shops, bars and restaurants and at the same time one of the quietest places in town! Also Central Station and two markets are at walking distance. The space Along the canals all sous terrains (between ground floor and cellar) are used for living. From the window of this sous terrain one has a view on the street and the canal. There is a bathroom, a toilet, free WiFi, a coffee machine, a water boiler and a comfy bed. Please note that there are no cooking facilities available in the apartment as this is not allowed due to the bnb rules and regulations set by the municipality of Amsterdam The Brouwersgracht was elected as most beautiful street (canal) of the Netherlands and the street parallel to it as best shopping street of the Netherlands. Our house is located on the optimal spot of the Brouwersgracht, just in front of the 17th century square and building of the West Indian Company from where Peter Stuyvesant arranged to start the city of New Amsterdam, now better known as New York. The 17th century canal house itself was build for the owner of the storage house next to it. That is why part of it was build just in front of the back of the neighbors and an access door is placed in the middle of the corridor. The house runs in the family since around 1950. We are sure you will love it here! Guest access You have access to the whole house with bedroom, bathroom and living room. Please note that the entrance to the apartment is shared. Furthermore, there is a fuse box and a drainpipe inside of the apartment behind a closet indicated with 'private'. Once in a while the owner need to acces the private closet! Other things to note Normal check-in and check-out times: Check-out 11:00 am. Check-in before 21:00 pm. Check in after 21:00 is possible but it costs an additional of 20,- euro.
