The Cart Stable - A Stunning Countryside Retreat

The Cart Stable is a beautifully presented accommodation for two located in the quiet hamlet of Dargate in Kent at the entrance to the historic Blean Woods. It's ideal for exploring this wonderful part of Kent with beaches and bustling Kentish towns on our doorstep. This flexible accommodation will suit a couple or two friends and is fully self-contained, with an open plan area downstairs, and a large double bedroom and shower room upstairs. We look forward to welcoming you soon! The space The Cart Stable is a Grade II listed former stable which provides comfortable accommodation for two guests, in idyllic surroundigs. Located in Dargate between Faversham and Whitstable in Kent, we are easily reachable and just over an hour out of London by train or car, perfect for a weekend or midweek break to unwind and relax. Five acres of private grounds provide completely unspoiled views across to Blean Woods, which are accessible by the public bridleway just a few meters away...perfect for walking, off-road cycling or running! The open plan living space provides a lounge, dining area and a modern kitchen. The lounge area comes equipped with with HD TV, Bluray DVD, Sky Freesat, and DAB Radio (with Bluetooth). We have a wide selection of DVD's to choose from if you simply want to unwind and cosy up in front of a good film. The kitchen has all mod-cons you would expect including an induction hob, fan assisted oven with grill, dishwasher, microwave and a fridge with an integral freezer compartment. The bedroom has a super-king bed (or optional twin beds) and large wardrobe space. The shower room has a large walk-in shower cubicle (with overhead rain shower and hand shower), wash hand basin and toilet. Fresh bed linen and bath towels are provided. Outside we provide you with an allocated space with a dining table and chairs where you can enjoy a morning cuppa and some al-fresco dining. The bench swing is great for unwinding and watching the morning sun rise across the woodland; or at the end of your day take out a nightcap and listen to the nocturnal wildlife start theirs. If you would like to bring your bikes to explore either on-road or off-road, we can also provide a secure, dry lock-up for them. Guest access The Cart Stable is a detached and fully self-contained building adjacent to the owner's property. Guests will be able to enjoy access to an allocated outside dining area with a bench swing and dining table and chairs for you to relax and enjoy the woodland views. There is parking available for one car. Other things to note - The bed is a Super King which can be made up as twin beds on request prior to your arrival. - The accommodation has wooden stairs and it should be noted that we do not have stair gates, therefore we do not class The Cart Stable being suitable for babies or young children. Please enquire prior to booking. - We have chickens, ducks, two dogs and horses....so you will always hear the sound of the countryside!
