Comfy, Cozy & Affordable 1-San Jose
Description
Private room, ensuite bath and fantastic view. Your quiet and private room has a queen-size bed with pillow-top mattress, en-suite bath, TV with cable, mini-fridge and stunning views of the valley. Crisp, clean, sunshine-fresh sheets, towels, all 100% cotton, are included. No children. I have a very friendly, big (80 lbs) dog. He's not allowed into the guest room, otherwise he has the run of the house. If you don’t like dogs, or are afraid of them, you will not be comfortable here. The space The Space: Room with a View - Silicon Valley at Your Feet You will have a large, airy room with private, en-suite bath, queen-size bed with pillow-top mattress, mini-fridge, a TV with cable and stunning views of the valley. As your host, my goal is to make your stay with me the very best possible, whether you're staying in an Airbnb for the first time or have stayed in one before. I hope you will let me know if there's anything I can do to make your stay better. The first thing you'll see when you enter the room is a big picture window with breath-taking views of Silicon Valley. My house is on a hill so you will need a car. Public transportation is about 2 miles down that hill, so unless you REALLY like to walk, you'll need a car. The room is a light, airy and spacious retreat. It's a private room conveniently located on the 1st floor near the entrance to my home. It features a big, comfy queen bed with a luxurious pillow top. The private bath has a full bathtub where you can enjoy a relaxing soak after a long day, as well as a shower over the tub. Thick, fresh, clean fluffy towels, washcloths and hand towels are provided. One guest said I should let people know the room is large enough to do yoga. In case you want to sleep late (or shut out the gorgeous city lights at night so you can sleep :-)) there are blackout/thermal drapes on the big window. Amenities provided include: hand soap, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner and a hair dryer (and of course toilet paper). Did you forget something when you left home? Did your luggage go to Costa Rica while you came to California? Don't worry, I have toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss, disposable razors and deodorant, even a small sewing kit, available. There's a desk with plenty of space for a laptop and books, and a plug strip for your computer and/or re-chargers. A large closet has plenty of space for hanging clothes and for your suitcases, packs and other things you'd like to have out of the way. I do have a dog, he's a big (80 lbs.), friendly, lovable goof, and he's not allowed into the guest room, otherwise he has the run of the house. If you are uncomfortable with dogs this would not be a good place for you. Please Note: My home is not suitable for children because of my dog who has the run of the house, and also because the house is not child-proof. My home is in a quiet residential neighborhood in the foothills of San Jose. There are fields surrounding the neighborhood, and abundant wildlife - it's like living in the country but only minutes away from everything in the valley. Guests are often surprised by how quickly they can get to places from here. They're also often enchanted by the variety of wildlife that can be seen from my house, like birds, squirrels, deer and wild turkeys. If you're interested in hiking, trail running or even a little mountain biking, check out Alum Rock Park which is quite close to my house. It's a beautiful park in the foothills that reminds me of a little Yosemite – there's even a stream running through it. You can do a web search and get the official park info, and Yelp has great reviews where people have added 470(!) photos. I look forward to welcoming you to my home. The door to your suite is just inside the front door so it is easy for you to come and go as you please. Check-in is from 3PM to 11 PM. However I realize people don't always have control over what time they'll arrive (planes are late, etc.) so I will still check people in after 11 PM if needed, just let me know ahead of time if you'll be arriving after 11 pm. During your stay I live in the house and often work from home so I will often be present while you are here. You can decide how much interaction you want. We can sit around and watch TV and talk, or if you're more private and like to be undisturbed I'll leave you alone.
