Located in the heart of Ocean Park "The Octopus's Garden" is well equipped and can be your "home away from home" on the Long Beach Peninsula. If you're the adventurous type, grab a couple of beach chairs and some firewood and take the quick walk or drive (if you have a capable vehicle) to a secluded spot on the beach for a bonfire or to watch the sunset. The kitchen has most everything you might need including dishwasher, microwave, Keurig and some basic spices, plenty of dishes/glassware, pots and pans and a large farmhouse sink to clean your catch. There's an outdoor clam cleaning station. The house has two bathrooms (one with a shower and one with a tub/shower) plenty of towels, soap, shampoo, hair dryer, etc. There are 3 bedrooms (one has a King-sized bed with attached bath, one has a Queen-sized bed and the third has Twin-sized bunk-beds). Additionally the living room has two twin sleeper love-seats as well. 55" 4k Smart TV with Blue-Ray/DVD player. The house also has a washer and dryer for your use. The other great feature about this house is the large fully fenced yard. The yard has lots of space for playing yard games or just hanging out and enjoying a campfire. There is a regulation cornhole set in the house for your use. There is a digital lock on the front door with passcode entry for easy arrival/departure. There is parking for about 3 or 4 cars behind the gate. If you use the driveway gate you must drop the ground bars. We experience high winds on the peninsula and the gates can be torn from their posts if not properly secured. Pets: We allow dogs only. It's located outside by the back gate... just outside the kitchen Your home away from home is in the perfect location to really enjoy all Ocean Park has to offer. The house is within easy walking distance to the beach, stores, restaurants and bars. There is a bus stop nearby with a line that covers most of the Long Beach Peninsula. The fare is .35 on the peninsula and only .50 for a ride to Astoria. Garbage: The Octopus's Garden garbage policy is "Pack it in, Pack it out". You can take it to Jack's and for a small fee they will take your trash. There is a large gas grill as well as a Webber Kettle charcoal BBQ for you to use. You will need to supply your own charcoal, if you prefer charcoal over propane. You will also have to clean the grill you use. Our house cleaners only clean the house. If you leave the grill uncleaned you will be charged an additional $35 cleaning fee. The grill cover must be replaced and properly secured to the grill when not in use due to high winds, after cooling of course.
