Calm, cosy & fresh in a QUİET str. No loud nightly noises or mosques, this is a real plus in Istanbul! =D Minutes away from the BOSPORUS, PALACES, ORTAKÖY, 4 beautiful parks, GALATA TOWER & TAKSİM The majestic mosques & Bazaars: 10 min by taxi or different public transport+ some walking about 30 min Walking route aprox 1 hour Beşiktaş is lively & safe, a favourite w-Istanbulites. At a calm str 1 min from t'farmer's market . All amenities+cafes plus transport only steps away! Nişantaşı 6minutes The flat is peaceful, fresh, clean and cosy. The rooms are at the back, therefore silent. No loud mosque chanting in the middle of the night, that in Istanbul is a huge plus! An 80 sq mtr space; ample and sweet with soft illumination, many warm laps, plenty of plants and no clutter with a fresh balcony to chill out. The street is the best illuminated one in the whole neighborhood, very safe and mainly families or Uni students living around. I'm a decent cook and sometimes we can share meals or you can cook and I'll be a kitchen assistant :D The kitchen is a bit small but well equipped. No TV bcse in this city, there's too much to do and enjoy! You can access all areas except the other bedroom. I work from home as a private language tutor and a therapeutic masseuse. I also perform ENERGY HEALING transference, Unblocking of trapped energy, Chakra alignment, Guided Meditation, Self healing awareness and Wim Hof breathing method. On rare occasions there might be someone for lessons or therapy, there shouldn't be a problem, you can still go around your own business, just a bit more sensible and quiet in this case =} I'm an ex-pat that has lived in Istanbul for a few years, therefore I'm just like a local (minus the language fluidity, but I manage and get by OK =} ) I have a wide knowledge of places to eat, shop and to visit at bottom and mid range prices. Also shopping centres, bazaars and how to bargain like a pro. If you need to know about the city, its culture and intricacies, I can be of very good assistance to guide you around, moreover; help you save time and money with transport and bargaining tactics! I might also teach you how to play tavla (backgammon) or if you know already, we could have a fun match. I live between 2 of the best districts in Istanbul: Beşiktaş and Nişantaşı. While the first is more bohemian, very lively, famous for its night-life and next to the Bosporus, the later is much more up-scale, elegant and full of specialized restaurants and internationally renown designer shops. Both share an exiting lifestyle. BEŞİKTAŞ: Everything is steps away or very nearby; gorgeous parks, mosques, Taksim and the TOP TOURIST ATTRACTIONS. The magnificent and most famous mosques, palaces and the bazaars are all within 15 min taxi ride or walking distance from 20 minutes to 1- 1.5 hour if you're an avid walker like me =} I'm surrounded by a huge array of cafes, restaurants, shops, bars and live music venues; all this contributes to making Beşiktaş one of the most sort after districts in Istanbul. Yet I live at a quiet and safe street. Witin 2 min walk: a hospital and pharmacy (at the corner) 3 supermarkets, including the cheapest chain in all of Turkey. The Saturday bazaar/farmer's market with very fresh and some organic products, only 150 meters away. My street is fresh and has a line of trees that provide a welcoming shade and breeze in hot summer days, and being so close to the Bosporus is another perk. There are boat trips along the Bosporus that cris-scross from the European to the Asian side along some wonderful coves and scenery, a very recommended activity to take in Istanbul. NİŞANTAŞI: A very elegant, affluent district offering a huge array of incredibly cosy, delicious small restaurants and cafes, alongside other more renowned and upper scale ones. Beautiful views, classic buildings and a paradise for designer labels seekers! 6-8 minutes walk from my house you'll find GUCCİ, PRADA, DİOR, CHANEL, HERMES, Louis Vuitton, Michael Cors, Ferragamo etc, on top of many famous Turkish designers. There's the beautiful "City's" shopping mall with a cinema that showcases international festival's films, only 8 min walk from home amongst a big selection of galleries in this area =D MAÇKA PARK: 10min walk. Stunning park with cascading setting. Doggy friendly and covered with lush trees, an oasis in the city centre! Sports a funicular with 4 little gondolas that take you above the tree's canape, giving a wonderful view of the Bosporus and Nişantaşı **There are 3 bus routes that pass by the corner of the flat (130m) They go to TAKSIM, another to EMINONU (Spice bazaar) Karakoy & Yeni Kapi (very near the Blue mosque). 5 min walk there's the dolmus (collective taxi) that goes to Taksim in about 5 min. **Osmanbey metro is 15 min walk. This metro can lead you to Ataturk airport within one hour with a short-easy change at Yeni Kapi. ** The ferries to Uskudar only take 5 minutes to reach ASIA! Or 20 min by luxurious ferry to Kadikoy (only 70 euro cents) **Kabatas tram that leaves you at the door of the Blue mosque, Aiga Sofia, the spice and Grand Bazaars is 25 min walk or 1 bus ride away from this corner. Optional; taxi to Kabatas in 6 min and costs about €2.50 From Besiktas centre there's another dolmus to Taksim (5-7 min ride) and a huge selection of buses to go all around and mainly the most beautiful palaces in the city and near the Black Sea at Sariyer! I'm surrounded by beautiful parks and Palaces from the Ottoman times! The nearest park is about 3 minutes walk, the nearest Palace about 15 min. The most beautiful park in Istanbul; Macka, is only 10 min walk For avid walkers; the walk to TAKSIM trough Maçka park it's wonderful and it only takes about 25 min to reach Tksm. Or if you take the CABLE-CAPSULE ("teleferik") you can cross the park and have a gorgeous view from above and save a few min walk. You could even walk further to GALATA tower within 50 min (20 minutes from Taksim square and 4 Km from home) and keep going down to Karaköy, only 5 min from Galata and another 10 min to Eminönū to the wonderful Spice bazaar and the Yeni mosque. All together you can walk from home to Eminönū in around 1 hr (5 Km) and to the Blue Mosque and Santa Sofia in about 75 minutes, roughly 6.5 km. Nişantaşı is a very elegant, affluent district offering a huge array of incredibly cozy, delicious small restaurants and cafes, alongside other more renowned and upper scale ones. Beautiful views, classic buildings and a paradise for designer labels seekers! 6-8 minutes walk from my house you'll find GUCCİ, PRADA, DİOR, CHANEL, HERMES, Louis Vuitton, Michael Cors, Ferragamo, E. Zegna, Vakko etc, on top of many famous Turkish designers. There's the beautiful "City's" shopping mall with a cinema that showcases international festival's films, independent and local films, also a very decent food court, only 8 min walk from home amongst a big selection of galleries in this area =D
