Dovecote

Dovecote offers a unique and private space for guests to relax and unwind after exploring the beautiful Isle of Skye. Dovecote stands on a family Croft in its own fenced area. The unusual and spacious glamping pod has been fitted out to an extremely high standard. The Cristal Chandelier casts a soft glow over the king size bed,velvet seating,and dining area. The kitchen area is well equipped with fridge,freezer cooker hob and microwave. There is also a separate shower and toilet en suite The space Dovecote is an unusual twist on the typical pod accommodation. The unique shapes lends itself to a fantasy themed decor. The Chrystal chandelier and lots of mood lighting make it cosy but fun with a bit of velvet accessories to add a glamorous twist. Dovecote does however sit on a 6 acre working family Croft which guests are free to explore.You will often be accompanied by our 11 pet rare breed sheep who are always looking for some extra feed.there are lots of picnic areas on the Croft with benches to enable guests to take advantage of the wonderful sea views.Frequently in the summer months dolphin can be seen from the Croft and if you are fortunate you may spot a basking shark or minke whale.Dovecote is in its own fenced area with outside seating areas to be private if you wish. The North end of Skye provides easy access to lots of must see sights such as the fairy Glen Trottenish ridge with the dramatic Quaraing and Kilt Rock. There are also lots of off the beaten track walks direct from the cottage where your only companions will be buzzards eagles seals and lots of other wildlife and unusual wild flowers. Guest access Guests will have sole use of Dovecote which is within its own fenced private area with outdoor seating for guests to enjoy.Guests can also explore the Croft where there are benches to take advantage of the sea view.Please just check with hosts before feeding the sheep. Other things to note The hosts have two dogs Bertie the old English Sheepdog and Connie the border collie they will be about on the Croft but always with the host and they have no access to the dovecote fenced area and they are friendly and always looking for food.
