Luqa is the typical Maltese village. At its core lies the Church with the oldest streets and buildings leading to it. On the outskirst one finds new buildings, some countryside and old chapels. The patron saint of Luqa is St. Andrew. Luqa is very close to the airport. This proximity was the main reason why Luqa suffered a lot during 2nd World War. In fact in Luqa one finds a number of war shelters that nowadays are used to home exhibitions held during the Christmas and the Easter period. The space My place is a typical Maltese townhouse built in the seventees and has been refurbished recently. The house is very close to the village centre. All amenities can be reached on foot. The bus stop to nearby villages and to Valletta is a couple of minutes away. Being so close to the airport my house is ideal for the first night in Malta in the event of a late arrival, or as the last night before an early departure. However the place is ideal for longer stays as a base to explore our island! Guest access The place consists of an entrance hall. The hall leads to a wide corridor that leads to the room. The room is ensuite with private door and a small garden. The door can be locked. The living area, kitchen and laundry are shared spaces. During your stay My place is very easy to reach. It is at a walking distance from the village square. When you are coming by bus from the airport, the trip takes a couple of minutes. Some times guests who are coming from the airport, or who are going to the airport, decide to come on foot. The walk to or from the airport takes about 15 minutes at normal walking speed. If one is coming from Valletta by bus, the trip takes about 20 minutes. The bus stops are at a walking distance of 2/3 minutes.
