Two Shepherds Huts

The off grid Shepherds Huts sit beside Wiggold Wood and its ancient oaks, with incredible views across the fields. Right at the heart of the farm, far from anyone and a gentle 25 minute stroll down the old railway line to the farm shop and cafe. Perfect for small groups looking for their own magical private spot, with incredible views and tonnes of space. Ideal, for one family, two families (kids in tents!) , two couples, plus up to 4 friends in tents The space Both Huts are completely off grid (no electricity), making for a truly sustainable adventure. In the main hut there is a woodburner inside to keep warm through the colder months and candle holders for light (make sure to bring your own candles, torch, lamp). The second hut (no wood burner) is more simply furnished with a double bed (great for the kids or second couple). Outside : - A south facing outdoor fireplace with stunning views perfect for cooking, with logs to sit on - A simple covered outdoor kitchen with a gas ring and cold water sink - All basic pots, pans, crockery and cookery utensils as well as a couple of bags of firewood - Picnic bench - A private compost loo just inside the wood 10 seconds away and a simple gas shower. - A separate standalone cold water tap. All water is from the farm bore hole, safe and delicious to drink What To Bring - All bedding - Loo roll - Nightlights / torches / matches - An open mind to the great British weather! There is space to put up to 2 tents beside the huts if you would like to have up to 8 people including children staying. There is an extra charge for more than 4 people. £12 each per night. Guest access You are welcome to walk all over the 1,600 acre mixed organic farm (except the farm yard itself). When you are hungry visit the multi award winning 100% organic farm shop and cafe, a 25 minute stroll down the old railway line. The cafe serves light breakfasts, delicious lunches and lots of cakes. Enjoy the relaxed atmosphere or take away. Its possible to just eat what is produced on the farm at the cottage - milk, butter, cheeses, meats, vegetables, yoghurts.....even bread made with the farm wheat. Other things to note Check in between 4pm and 7.30pm only.
