If so, please be aware that footsteps and voices can be heard by the guests below you so please keep noise to a minimum during quiet hours. *Both front and back yards are fully fenced and gated *Please park on street or facing the north fence to your right down the driveway. Do not block the driveway in case there are guests downstairs. Please turn off air conditioner when you exit the house. Washer/dryer access possible for $15/stay. Take a 3 minute walk to the most happening coffee shop in town, Seven Suns, or walk 5 minutes the other way to your morning yoga class. Just a block away is Mike and Tony’s for Italian food and a great bar and a few doors down is the bustling health food store, Berryvale. At our house, you are in the center of it all! After you finish exploring the town on foot, you can continue the adventure by bike or car. Lake Siskiyou, Castle Lake, The Old Ski Bowl (7800'), and plenty of hiking, biking, paddling, golfing, swimming, climbing, fishing, and skiing options are all minutes away. There is something here for everyone, whether it's a multi-day mountaineering expedition to the summit of 14,179' Mt. Shasta or a leisurely stroll to feed the rainbow trout in the Mt Shasta Fish Hatchery or something in between! Shasta is that it is small and fairly remote, but located right off the I-5 freeway. Redding airport is 1 hour south and Medford (which has more airline service) is 1.5 hour drive north. Both airports have car rental services on site. There are a few places in town that rent bikes. Local taxis, shuttles, and bus services are also available...and there is now 1 intermittent Uber driver! The day before you check in, I will send a welcome message with entry info, house rules and other things to note. If this puts you off in any way, perhaps we are not a good fit for you. Here is what it looks like: -Check in: 4 PM -Check out: 11 AM Please remember: -No Smoking anywhere on the property (fees apply) -No Shoes in the house -No Pets anywhere on the property (fees apply) We live around the corner and may stop by to say Hello or grab stuff out of the garage. The code to the door is XXXX. ** If you get locked out, there is a lockbox located on the side gate, at the top of the driveway. Code XXXX. Please remember to leave the key in the lockbox when you depart! ONLY USE IF LOCKED OUT. There is another key in the stand next to the interior door in the front mud room.** TRASH: Bag all trash and do not place boxes or other trash on the ground next to the cans. We do not recycle because it failed miserably. You are welcome to take your items to the recycling center about a mile away. Please do not block the driveway. Pull all the way down the driveway and to the right so 2 cars can fit down there. You car should face the fence and be parallel to the house. When it is hot out, open the windows at night and then close them and the blinds first thing in the morning. Also use the fans provided. This will keep the house as cool as possible. We also have an a/c unit in the living area. Please turn it off when you leave the house. There may be guests downstairs so please be mindful of them (they can hear footsteps). Please keep quiet hours from 10 PM to 8 Am when there are guests downstairs. If you feel the need to cook pungent foods, open window and doors and turn the oven's downdraft fan on. It is REALLY that good. Fyi, we have exterior security cameras. We pride ourselves on being a pet allergy-free home! Please do not ask us if we can make exceptions. Parents: let us know what we can do to make this stay easier. We can provide cribs, baby carriers, strollers etc. on request.
