Enjoy the country life with birds chirping in the morning, wine tasting in the afternoon, lovely sunsets in the evenings, and stars shining in the dark sky at night. Hosts offer a wine tasting and stories of life on a vineyard. Cellar door is within close distance and offers the perfect place to enjoy a relaxed breakfast and or lunch. The space The suite is in a century old Australian stone home with high ceilings and private access and modern en-suite. Hosted by the owners of this lovely Langhorne Creek wine vineyard estate. Langhorne Creek is a wine region of South Australia and has Mediterranean climate making it an ideal area for production of premium table wines. Views of the property and surrounding area are breath taking and change with the seasons. The open spaces and peace and quiet off being off the beaten track is not to be underestimated, we have no street lights out here you can take in great views of the stars on a clear night. Langhorne Creek Wine Region is the second largest grape growing district in South Australia and is located close to Lake Alexandrina. Strathalbyn is a lovely historical township 9 kms away offering restaurants and hotels for evening meals, supermarkets, Chemist banks and fuel station. It also has lovely walking trails around the river within the town and many antique shops and art galleries. Monarto Zoo is Australia largest open free range zoo and is only 30 minutes drive. Goolwa beach is also only 30 minutes drive away or Wellington on the River Murray. Adelaide is 50 minutes drive via the Freeway at Mount Barker. Grape Harvesting occurs in February and March so there may be increased vehicle activity at night if harvesting. Guests have the opportunity to see and hear stories of different activities which occur during the seasons to produce our high quality grapes which are used to produce Angas Plains Estate Wines. Our Cellar Door is open 11am - 5pm and serves food all day. Specially prepared evening meals matched to our wines can be pre-booked via Judy. Guest access Private bedroom with en-suite and patio area. During your stay Guests staying on the property have the opportunity to have a private wine tasting at the cellar door. Hosts Phillip & Judy can provide a toast and microwave for self use shared on the patio. For an additional $20 charge per person may provide a cooked breakfast served in the Cellar Door. Must be pre-booked and depends on availability of our cook. Other things to note Guests are welcome to enjoy the cellar door area during their stay.
