Enclosed in a time capsule of exposed sandstone and oak timber work, once stayed in by King Edward I in 1277, this rare, incomparable find is not one to let pass by. Immerse yourself in medieval history with this beautifully restored building, making your stay unforgettable. Found in a quaint farm village, set in the idyllic Cheshire countryside. The space SOFA BED included in living room area. There is a special twist to this stay... The impressive open plan Kitchen/Dining room and Living room area are found on the first floor, not the ground floor. It includes stunning, high lofted ceilings with king post trusses. The three sandstone arched windows are unique only to this building and Caernarfon Castle in North Wales. This floor contains a bespoke kitchen with a spacious island and a medieval inspired dining table fit for kings, overlooked by a Templar knight. A cosy seating area, in which the sofa bed can be found, in front of a log burner. During your stay, you will be surrounded by historic replicas throughout the building. The ground floor comprises of two king size bedrooms, both with handmade oak headboards and authentic church pews. Hidden in one of the bedrooms, a secret passageway can be found leading to original arrow slots and a fake skeleton to replicate a scene inside a medieval dungeon. The bathroom contains a rain shower and sunken whirlpool bath to relax after a busy day. FREE parking spaces for two cars An enclosed patio area to enjoy bird song and the Cheshire countryside. Tea & coffee included IMPORTANT INFORMATION: All the upstairs windows are single pane and at floor level, therefore children and pets must be supervised at all times. We have guards up in front of the windows, but these are more of a deterrent than a safety feature. Please open the windows with extra caution. ** There is a £25 pet fee charge per stay ** Guest access As we are in the Chester countryside, the best way to get to us is by car or our local taxi service, message us if you are in need of the taxi number. We are still only an 18 minute drive to the Chester city centre.
