Mountain Vistas!
Located on the western edge of Victor, our mountain home is a scenic and quiet haven. To the southwest stands the Sangre de Christo mountain range and directly west the majestic Collegiate Peaks. The vista reminds us daily that “we get to live here.” On a clear night, skies of stars await you. Make sure you can climb the stairs for a good night’s rest. We welcome you to our home. May you find yourself comfortable, relaxed and refreshed. Once parked in the driveway, your private entrance includes 2 private floors for your stay. Entering through the mud room, a living room and full kitchen becomes the first floor. The living room has a monitor for viewing DVDs and WIFI for internet or gaming access. Wooden board games are also available for challenge and fun. The kitchen includes tableware and accessories for your cooking pleasure. The second floor has two bedrooms; one bedroom with two twin beds and the master bedroom with a queen size bed. Between the doors of the bedrooms you will find a bathroom/shower. Sleeping arrangements are limited to a maximum of four patrons. A custom patio with chairs and a breath taking view await your enjoyment and camera. As well, find history as you step back in time with outstanding District museums. Hiking trails abound throughout the mining District, along with biking, fishing, and summer Gold Mine tours. We are just 4 miles from Cripple Creek’s casinos. Victor’s Lowell Thomas Museum and Cripple Creek’s Franklin Ferguson Library have good collections of newspaper microfilms, District Directories, and old school records for researching genealogy and historical facts. Enjoy the inside of the top level with a main floor and upstairs' bedroom and bath. Your space is enhanced with 'Victor Celebrates the Arts' paintings of mining headframes, architecture and landscapes. Enjoy the front deck with the morning sun and your coffee and the side deck for glorious sunsets! Below your two floors of lodging, we live in the walkout basement. Your stay is important to us and we hope to answer all questions and meet whatever your needs might be with hospitality. Victor has designation as a National Historic District. The 'wild card' of Teller County, Victor is a step back in time with 1890's mine structures, buildings and stories to tell of yesteryear. Unique shops and shopkeepers, restaurants, museums, current day mining, and Colorado blue skies await your discovery and enjoyment! Victor is about 50 minutes from Colorado Springs, central to the Gold Belt Scenic Byway, and just down the hill from the Gold Camp Road. At almost 10,000 feet above sea level, altitude calls for a vehicle to get around Victor and sight-seeing until adjusted to the altitude. The Gold Camp Connector Shuttle Service runs throughout the day and evening on a summer/winter schedule to Cripple Creek with a return trip to Victor. The "City of Mines," Victor, has been set up for walking tours in the downtown historic district. Mountain Vistas ! is 420-Friendly Gasoline and Groceries are 5 miles away in Cripple Creek.
