Victorian Haven is located near the Shawangunk Mountains that extends for over 20 miles and reaches 2,200 feet in height at Sam's point, the highest elevation on the ridge. In addition, the Wallkill River provides unspoiled and picturesque spots for hiking, fishing and/or picnics. Gardiner has a beautiful rail trail that follows the path of the 1860's railroad and provides a great opportunity to hike, bike or ski. Guest access NOTE: We provide duraflame logs for purchase to use with the indoor wood stove. Anything else in the indoor wood stove is prohibited. Other things to note Please note that the property is off of a private dirt road that you should drive VERY slowly down for your safety. We would like to make you aware before booking during the winter months, that even when the private country road is plowed during the winter season, there is a possibility that the road sometimes will be slippery and icy. Please make sure that one knows how to drive in the snow and that you should have the proper vehicle for these conditions (Front or Four wheel drive). We cannot predict nor be responsible for hazardous condition on this road. PETS: This property allows your pets (in regards to dogs, we only allow one) to enjoy Victorian Haven as well. We ask that you follow the rules below... 1. Pets are to be on a leash at all times 2. Pets are NOT allowed on the furniture or bed 3. If you decide to leave your pet in the house, while you are out. You need to make sure they are in a crate provided by you. PRIVATE PROPERTY: Please note that our home and the homes that surround Victorian Haven are all on private property. Please do not trespass beyond the wooden fence property line or you will be subject to the local laws and face possible charges with infraction or a misdemeanor.
