The Laundry Room on Laundry Hill, Old Bisbee, AZ

The Laundry Room is located in a 1904 home on Laundry Hill in eclectic Old Bisbee. We're close to the historic Bisbee courthouse, St. Patrick's Church, High Desert Market & Cafe, Circle K Convenience Store, 10 min walk to downtown Old Bisbee with museums, the Underground Mine Tour, shopping, great nightlife and a variety of quality casual restaurants and fine dining. You’ll love our place because of the views, the location, and the comfort & ambiance. It's great for couples and solo adventurers! The space **PLEASE READ: VERY IMPORTANT INFO for potential guests** • The max ceiling height in the bedroom area is 6'1". Though other areas of the space are higher, if you are taller than this, at worst, you will not be comfortable, and at the very least, you may bump your head. • There are 57 steps from the street level to the apartment, and our elevation is 5300 feet. Please be sure you are physically able to climb the stairs with your belongings. But if we are available, we are certainly happy to help carry things! • Please no smoking anywhere in the interior spaces, though outside on the patio is ok as long as the windows are closed. • Please leave four-legged companions home for this trip. We work to keep the space allergen-free for all travelers. :) • Otherwise, the space is a comfortable, cozy well-planned studio apartment with ample storage areas, mini-fridge, microwave, full bath (shower only), enclosed porch and outdoor grotto sitting area. Guest access The Laundry Room apartment is completely private and fully accessible to guests-only during their stay. Small front patio sitting area is also available exclusively for guests. Since it is "The Laundry Room," guests also have access to the washer and dryer (upon request only please) during their stay. Other things to note Besides our off-kilter townscape and eccentric townsfolk, we also have unique weather and wildlife to take note of. In winter, we do get snow, and temperatures regularly fall below freezing at night, but can be comfortable light-jacket temps during the day. Summers vary from mild 80s to rarely the low-100s, but because we are a mile high, we are on average about 20 degrees cooler than Phoenix or Tucson. Because The Laundry Room is tucked under the main house, and against a solid rock hillside, it stays cool in Summer and cozy in Winter. Our Monsoon season starts around the first week of July and continues through September with afternoon downpours and spectacular thunderstorms. The showers are often heavy, but brief, giving way to cool Summer evenings and glorious sunsets. This time of year also brings mosquitos and other flying/biting critters, so we recommend you come prepared and advise guests to keep interior lights off if you go out for the evening. If you are hiking on our nearby trails you may spot javelina, deer, coatimundi, ring-tailed cats, a variety of migratory birds, or rarely even a rattlesnake or mountain lion, so enjoy the gorgeous surroundings, but be careful and be aware.
