The space Quinta do Bom Despacho is a unique place to stay: an historic estate refurbished to allow guests to be online and energy efficient throughout the house and gardens, and all of this just a stone's throw from the centre of Ponta Delgada. The house has a total of 9 rooms, 6 bathrooms, two living rooms, one office room and one meeting/dining room. The current listing is for the whole house, but we also have listings for individual parts of the house (Ground Floor & Top Floors) Apart from the indoor facilities there are also outdoor facilities that guests can access, including a massive swimming pond sefloot among borders of Azorian endemic species, a greenhouse and organic orchards and vegetable gardens. Guest access Quinta do Bom Despacho has two en suite rooms, while the remaining ones share a bathroom between two rooms. All guests staying at Quinta do Bom Despacho will have access to common rooms with cable TV, and to two fully equipped kitchens and dining areas - all with full wi-fi coverage. Outside there is a double barbecue and sitting areas for al fresco dining, as well as several gardens to walk along in. There is a swimming pond for guests, an orange grove, greenhouse and several organic orchard and vegetable areas where guests can help themselves to all that is in season for their home-made meals (just remember to put the scraps in the compost!). Other things to note The price shown is an average of our year prices and varies according with high, low season and more or less demand in our area, so please check the calendar to see which prices we have on the dates you're planning to travel. We can always tailor our prices to try to meet your budget so don't hesitate to contact us for a quotation. Please note that because the ancient architecture of the house only one of the rooms and one of the bathrooms are adapted for guests with disability. We have an house governess and community manager (Co-host Tânia) that lives in a separate part of the house on the 2nd floor. She will be available only when you need her. There is also a 24 hour phone number available. Only the kitchen on the 1st floor is exclusively for guests. The ground floor kitchen is shared with the staff, which they use to cook meals and process our gardens products. The house can take 20 persons comfortably with the setup provided - Adult and child extra beds can be assembled up to a total of 24 persons, but please note that these extra beds will not be as comfortable as the other ones. Quinta do Bom Despacho offers a number of different options for your holidays, including the possibility to host events (not organize) - ask us about it! We are project open to our local community and we often promote well-being events in our greenhouse. This events are schedule and you are welcome to join. - ask us about it!
