A short walk to the historic village with 3 Harry Clarke windows in the church above the Castle & Castletownshend harbour. Drombeg, Lough Hind , Baltimore are a short drive away or simply enjoy the beautiful peace &quiet, water sports & walks The space Beachfront position Escape in Secluded, tranquil cottage in a sheltered position next to Castlehaven beach which has been totally rebuilt from a historic ruin! Modern comfort, warm and yet old fashioned charm next to the Bay with fishing boats yachts and kayaks visiting this well known destination of West Cork. The sailing here from spring is beautiful to watch. Immediate access onto the beach or other coves on the Drishane Estate and a further variety of beaches a very short walk or drive away We have 3 holiday cottages that are linked by a track and above Castlehaven strand /Beach. All cottages have cotton bedlinen and towels Guest access Cosy old fashioned charm with a modern edge and comfort-the beach has a lot of historic significance and beauty and yet very easy access to the village with a very well known Pub/restaurant Mary-Anns serving/or pre-order great local seafood&more (not all of January) and other local villages serving all year The track is an original road to the cottage and is steep in places, but we use an ordinary car and have never had a problem Other things to note The cottage is a good 15 minutes walk into the village, but still close to other neighbours in Castlehaven
