Villa Stella Maris, exceptional beach accommodation

Welcome to Stella Maris, an exceptional family villa located on the central beach, belonging to the Hossegor heritage listed waterfront. Surfing or swimming, walking or relaxing... this house will allow you to escape a little and discover a dream spot. The space This house has been in my family for 4 generations. It has provided the perfect setting to create unforgettable memories for my children and grandchildren. My favorite moment: having an aperitif with family and friends on the ocean while watching the sunset, waiting for the barbecue to be ready on the courtyard side after dark. This 1930s villa is ideal for hosting three couples with children with 5 bedrooms: 3 double bedrooms, 1 bedroom with 1 double bed and 2 bunk beds, and 1 bedroom with 3 single beds. Spaces are designed to live together without stepping on each other! Common areas: - Ocean terrace with direct beach access - Large living room with two large bay windows overlooking the ocean, TV - Inner courtyard with large barbecue, large table (15 place settings) - Fully equipped kitchen: oven, microwave, gas stove, dishwasher, large fridge, kettle, Nespresso machine N.B.: The Villa is separated into two independent apartments, the rented part includes the beach level, the ground floor and a bedroom on the first floor. Other things to note Proper use of Stella Maris N.B.: WE NO LONGER ACCEPT BACHELOR AND HEN PARTIES BECAUSE SOME HAVE THOUGHT THAT DAMAGING THE HOUSE, FURNITURE AND BEDDING WAS ACCEPTABLE. IT IS NOT... The location of the villa is exceptionally pleasant, but it is a very exposed urban site whose elements must be managed: Wind: Draughts must be controlled, otherwise the doors slam, which shakes the partitions, breaks the windows (studio in the basement) and risks injuring children. There are a few hooks to lock the doors in the open position. Before opening a window or glass door on a facade, make sure that the other doors of the room concerned or those located on the other facade are closed or blocked in the open position. In case of storm: the plastic seats on the terrace can fly away! If it rains at the same time, water can flow back under the thresholds of the living room glass door. Deformations under the effect of the wind of the large window are normal. Thunderstorm: unplug TVs, power and cable Corrosion: everything made of iron rusts, even inside! Avoid going out without precautions on the terrace or in the yard of metal elements such as seats. The metal deckchairs on the terrace have plastic protections (DIY with plastic pipe) so as not to rest directly on the ground and rust when the paint is gone. Sand: it gets in everywhere easily, hence a rule of good conduct is to ask everyone, before entering, to wipe or jet wash their feet (there is water on both sides of the house), or to shower in the yard when returning from the outside; the goal is to avoid clogging the pipes, overloading the vacuum cleaner or scratching the parquet. Sea water damages fabrics: do not sit on the living room sofas with wet swimsuits. Wet towels can be spread out in the yard. Unfortunately, birds tend to defecate in the tree (pittosporum) in the yard, which requires cleaning the table and seats underneath every morning! One solution is to cover the table with the white or green plastic tarpaulin after use and to put the seats in the shelter on the floor in front of the barbecue. Noise: respect the neighborhood (occupants of the "second floor" and those of the adjoining villa): it is requested not to play music outside or to force the decibels inside by leaving the windows open. Theft risk: the months of July and August welcome a lot of vacationers, unfortunately some may be unscrupulous, who have already in the past tried to enter the house to steal what is lying around, so it is strongly recommended to make sure that the gate on the street is permanently closed. Likewise, the gate on the beach side must remain closed with its latch at all times. Never leave valuables on the terrace, as soon as you leave the house or at night Child safety: the terrace is not protected by a regulatory railing, which gives it its charm but creates a danger of falls or passage through the holes for small children Parking: two parking spaces exist in front of the house, one space is allocated to you as a tenant. Finally, we know that things can get damaged, we want every tenant to be able to fully enjoy this house, so if you happen to break something please let us know so we can replace it at the end of your stay.
