Description

Sleeping in a cozy farmhouse with a beautiful view over the surrounding meadows? In the small, peaceful village of Cossaye, we rent out the HIDE OUT: the perfect place to unwind. Here, you can enjoy the stunning sunset every evening from the terrace and watch the cows roaming freely in the adjacent pasture. Inside, you will find all the comfort you need, and in the winter, you can warm up by the wood stove. In the surrounding area, you can take wonderful walks. The space You enter through the kitchen, equipped with an oven, ceramic hob, dishwasher, crockery, cutlery, and a coffee maker, with just a little coffee for a few cups. Downstairs, you'll find two bedrooms that used to serve as cow stables, with some details preserved. The bedrooms come with bedding, towels, and in winter, extra blankets and hot water bottles against the cold. On the same floor as the bedrooms (ground floor), you'll find the toilet, stocked with enough toilet paper, and the bathroom, which are separated. Up the stairs, you'll enter a spacious living room where you can relax on the couches (optionally by the wood stove). Adjacent to the living room is the third bedroom. Recently, we've created two new outdoor spaces. One is an extension at the front of the house, where you can enjoy lunch sheltered with a beautiful view over the meadows. Personally, my favorite spot outside, as from under this canopy, you have a lovely view of the setting sun and the fields. Furthermore, we've converted the old stables, where you can sit comfortably by the oven fireplace in the evenings. There's a long table here, the perfect spot for long conversations and late-night dining and drinks. Around the house, two small cats roam, occasionally seeking attention. Please note! During cold periods, in the winter months, heating is primarily done via wood stoves. Wood for the wood stoves is included, but you should be comfortable handling it. Guest access Once you have booked, you will receive a confirmation message from me with all relevant information about your arrival. We kindly request our guests to provide us with an arrival time, so that my mother, who lives nearby, can await them for the key handover. In winter, we can already light the wood stove and, if desired, place an order at the bakery or butcher. If guests prefer not to have contact, that is also possible. In that case, we will leave the key in a key box that can be opened with a code. Upon arrival, you can park your car in front of the house. This is, of course, free of charge. Other things to note Please note! In the cold periods, the winter months, heating is primarily done via wood stoves. Wood for the wood stoves is included, but you need to handle it well. If we are present, we are happy to help you light the wood stove. Maintaining the wood stove is easier. It is also possible to use boots for walking when the ground is muddy. It is prohibited to bring your own heaters or other forms of heating. Again, it is an old house and in winter it is not possible to walk around barefoot. Please bring warm, comfortable clothing.
