Round Hill hut at Hukarere Station

The Round Hill hut is located on the Pomahaka River. A great place for families, couples or friends wanting to relax in an exclusive remote environment (with a few home comforts!); Deer hunting, fly fishing, tramping and mountain biking are on your doorstep. We are a working organic sheep and beef station. The space This is a very comfortable and warm 2 bedroom refurbished fisherman's hut located on the Pomahaka River on Hukarere Station. The Pomahaka River is renowned for it's brown trout fishing. The Round Hill hut is located in a very unique setting where you will be able to soak in the tranquillity of your natural surrounds. Hukarere Station is a certified organic hill country station covering an area of 20,000 acres. The unique beauty of our hill country tussock and grasslands provides one of the most beautiful natural playgrounds in all of New Zealand. The hut has a fully equipped kitchen including a gas oven, BBQ, and gas fridge. There is a shower (which people rave about!), flushing toilet, hydro power electricity, wood burner and running water. All beds have inner sprung mattresses, linen and a cosy duvet ensuring a good night's sleep. A king bed is able to be made up if required. This will be an unforgettable experience. Guest access You will have access to the river, and the surrounding landscape for walking or biking. Guides for fishing and hunting can be arranged if you like.
