The Alex workshop is an old farmhouse, formerly the home and workshop of a carpenter, painter and sculptor. Cécile and Natalie have lovingly restored it to create a wonderful family home in the heart of a picturesque canal side village. The space Bathed in natural light, its 270 square meters can accommodate up to 13 people, in its 6 bedrooms with a unique character. The common areas are composed of a large comfortable and warm living room, made of traditional Burgundy slabs on the floor and heated by a stove, and a large and beautiful kitchen/dining room, decorated with a fireplace, and large windows overlooking the garden. Access for people with reduced mobility in the downstairs bedroom and the adjoining shower room and toilet. This house is located in the middle of a traditional Burgundian village along the Burgundy canal; its garden overlooks the bocages, the neighboring forest and the green hills of the Auxois where friendly Charolais cows graze. Bathed in natural light, the 270 m2 house sleeps up to 13 in six unique bedrooms. The communal areas consist of a large and comfortable living room with traditional Burgundian stone floors and wood-burning stove, and a 60m2 open plan kitchen/dining space, also with wood burner, that opens out onto the garden. The house is set in the middle of a small traditional village on the Burgundy Canal; the garden looks out onto open fields, the forested hills of the Auxois, and sometimes a group of friendly cows! Guest access Parking is available in front of the cottage and nearby in the village square parking lot. Other things to note Dogs and/or cats are welcome! We are 15 km from the Chally sur Armaçon golf course. Very convenient for groups of golfers! Single-story house. Access for people with reduced mobility in the downstairs bedroom with shower room and adjoining toilet. No smoking inside. Blackout curtains in all bedrooms. The Burgundy Canal passes at the bottom of the village. The walks are very pretty along the canal. Bike rental possible in Pont-Royal. There is a barbecue. For weekend bookings, we accept that our guests leave the premises at 5 p.m. on Sunday, excluding school holidays.
