The Bales is a private, secluded and unique getaway on the picturesque Alstonville Plateau, just 15 minutes from Ballina Airport and within easy reach of the best of the Northern Rivers. If you choose to stay put and relax The Bales is a perfect, peaceful retreat, set on 50 acres of rolling green pastures and rainforests - featuring a freshwater creek, koala habitat, ancient trees and amazing birdlife. The property was established by one of the first cedar getters in the mid 1800’s. The space The kitchen is fully equipped with a gas stove, electric oven, microwave and an under bench fridge and freezer. There are two decks on which to relax - one facing north with daybed and seating, and the other smaller landing overlooking the orchard to the south. The queen size fold out lounge in the living area can comfortably sleep another two, for an additional $50 per person, per night. The Bales is a 35 minute drive from the North Byron Parklands, well situated as a base for Splendour in the Grass. Other things to note Victoria and Neil are happy to accommodate complimentary transfers between their property and Ballina Airport with sufficient notice.
