The space West Saunton Cottage is part of a tastefully converted traditional West Country long barn set in a quiet rural location close to a working farm with sheep and cattle and yet is just a 3-minute drive to one of the area's most popular beaches - the beautiful Saunton Sands. The cottage is a perfect home from home where you can relax and enjoy some holiday time with family away from the hustle and bustle of busy Braunton and Croyde whilst also being only minutes from the beach. Saunton Sands is a family-friendly beach and offers a beachside cafe, surfboard hire, beach hut hire and a popular restaurant over-looking the surf. Saunton golf club is just a 2 min drive. If you're feeling energetic, there are amazing walks across the fields to Croyde or over Braunton Burrows to the 3 mile beach at Saunton and onto Crow Point (the location-scene of plenty of films and TV dramas). The neighbouring village of Braunton boasts some great restaurants, take aways and boutique shops and the famous Croyde village is just a 10 min drive round the headland. Over the hills behind the house you can walk or drive to Georgeham and some of the best pubs in Devon if you fancy a Sunday roast. Guest access You will have access to West Saunton Cottage AND a small outdoor seating area. With plenty of space to park 1 vehicle safely and securely in the private parking area. We've spent 4 years living in Sydney and have brought the aussie beach lifestyle to this little corner of Devon with this cute cottage close to some amazing surf beaches that would suit anyone with a love of the outdoors. You will have super-easy, self-check-in lock box access and we enable instant book for guests. Other things to note Please note that the property is located on a working farm which is one of the things we love so much about it! However, this does mean that young children need to be supervised outside at all times due to farm traffic and live-stock in the fields all around. The garden is not fenced and so young children should be supervised as the farmer uses the track between the main house and the garden to get back and forth to feed cattle at certain times of the year.
