River’s Rest..only 45 minutes from PDX, and Multnomah Falls, gateway to the Columbia Gorge. Hiking just minutes away. Huge fire-pit and covered porch over-looking the river. Great if you get to work from home. You have your own Wi-Fi land-line telephone. Once your work day is over you can enjoy what the Columbia Gorge has to offer. EV charging is available. (No extension cords though) $8.00 a day. ( Sorry no parties or events allowed The space No matter what time of year you book, Rivers Rest is designed for you to have a romantic or relaxing time! Our Winter Special includes a basket of goodies! This is an apartment in a separate building than our home. Enjoy the sight and sound of the Washougal River right out your door on your own private deck. You are welcome to enjoy all the sitting areas and tree house on the property. Columbia Gorge is only 5 minutes away with many destination hikes to explore. We have a dedicated a WiFi line and telephone land-line to Rivers Rest to make sure people can work when necessary. River's Rest can sleep up to eight people. One queen size Beauty Rest Bed in first bedroom, The second bedroom has a twin bed and a comfortable queen size bed!. However, this bedroom's door is attached to the main bedroom so it does lack privacy. The second bedroom is great for children. The living room area has extra long Beauty Rest Twin Beds in Sleeping Nooks and a full/size hide-a-bed. Arrive anytime after 3PM and you can stay until 12PM on your last day. Once you register, I can help you plan an itinerary as there are so many choices. Before your arrival, I will Email you additional information about other possible adventures close by. There is a notebook about 'one day' adventures you can choose to explore while you are here. There is wifi on the premises, Roku TV in front room and a TV with Apple TV and dvd in back bedroom. A full kitchen minus dishwasher awaits you as does a bathtub big enough for serious soaking! No need to bring coffee, cream and sugar! Decks with rockers are yours to enjoy while watching the river and wildlife. Our latest addition is a fire pit that overlooks the river and a covered porch. We provide firewood and the makings for s’mores. A magical tree house is here for you to enjoy. The entire property with the various covered sitting areas are for you to enjoy too! This is an upstairs apartment with a deck overlooking the river. So, you will need to be able to climb stairs. The first floor is a shop and a garage that is not used while guests are staying at Rivers rest. So it is very private (with locks) and you are in a separate building from our home. Children do need to be supervised at all times because of the River Access and severe drop-off. There is a Graco crib-bed if needed. Pets need to be with you at all times, and remain off the furniture and beds. We ask that your dog stays outside until dry! I received a thank-you card that said... "We now have a problem. We will expect every place we stay to be as nice as your "Get-away Apartment." We would love to share this corner of the world with you. This part of the Pacific Northwest, including the Columbia Gorge, is quite beautiful! Cindy and Rob Guest access Access to the river is on the (URL HIDDEN) is your view! River access is the number one advantage you have here at River's Rest. Whether you are a white water kayaker or someone who just wants to either float or sit by the river's edge... it is here for you! Children are required to wear life jackets. We do supply them for you. . We do have tire inner tubes that are connected to a pig line so you can float during the day without going down stream. River shoes are recommended. Maximum of two pets allowed. We do ask for you to take your pets with you when you leave the property. There is a $25 pet fee. Floating policy from Memorial week-end thru September.. Our inner tubes without alcohol or recreational substances can be used to float down to the bridge where you get out and return the tires to Rivers Rest. Your plastic floaties are welcome though they easily rip on river rocks. A gas barbecue and use of the various decks are for you to use too . There is a Singer sewing machine and a piano keyboard for those of you who enjoy being creative and are musically inclined! Board games and a library of videos and DVD's are available too! You may want to play badminton and/or hillbilly golf while you are here. We do have two sets of golf clubs in case you would like to play golf at Beacon Rock Golf Course, 15 minutes away, or Skamania Lodge golf less than 30 minutes away that also has a zip line. Nearby is tennis and pickle ball. We have a variety of athletic equipment for your enjoyment. Please enjoy the treehouse if it isn't booked for the night. If you would like the entire property to yourself you can book the Glamping Site between the months of May thru September. Children need to be accompanied by an adult and pets need to go with you when you leave on outings. Other things to note Rivers Rest is so close to the Columbia Gorge and all it offers. The town of Camas has a wonderful movie theatre with prices you can smile about...$5.00 and real butter on popcorn. It also has great Brewery type of restaurants, Kop Chai is a wonderful thai restaurant in Camas. Camas Antique Mall is always a fun place to browse! Puffin Cafe has its own charm by being a floating restaurant on the Columbia. This is a great location for various day trips such as: Hood River, Mary Hill Museum, Portland, Waterfall Alley ... which includes Multnomah Falls, hike Beacon Rock, Rodney Falls or for you serious hikers ... to the top of Hamilton or Dog Mountain . You can golf at either Skamania and/ or Beacon Rock Golf Courses.Skamania Lodge also provides Zip-line for the adventurous. Spend a day enjoying what Lacamas Lake offers: a great hike which includes waterfalls, or renting either a stand up paddle board or Kayaks. ( May- September) Carson Hot Springs is 50 minutes away and you either soak in the public mineral hot tub or indulge in a private mineral soak/wrap. River's Rest now offers massage services. Heather will bring her table to you! Once you accept to be a guest, her telephone no. is included so you can plan ahead. The Mercantile Store makes it very convenient for food and beverages. I like to order a sandwich on my way to a hike in the Gorge. I will assist creating an itinerary according to your interests that you will enjoy!
