IRIS : Entire Heritage Cottage of 4 Rooms w/ View

This heritage wooden chalet is in the "Iris Cottage and Cafe - Manali" premise. The 4-bedroom cottage with private bathrooms has everything you need for your Manali trip. The heritage building dates back more than 70 years. However, we added a few amenities to make your stay hastle free, comfortable and relaxed. Our Airbnb is within walking distance of several popular hikes, cafes, and activities. The ambiance and location makes this an ideal base to explore Manali. The space There is an in-house work-friendly Cafe to enjoy delicious food or use the area to work. Food facility: Above tariff on Airbnb is only for Accommodation and does not include food or a Room Heater. Iris Heritage Cottage has a history of over 80 years, it being the first headquarters for the Western Himalayan Mountaineer Institute, now recreated into this pristine and serene space. This wooden heritage cottage is one of the oldest properties in Manali with its history dating back to before independence. Situated about 30 meters from the road and 1.5 km from Manali Bus Stand, a trail to the cottage will please your eyes with apple orchid and a couple of walnut trees on all sides spread across 10 acres. The property has three bedrooms with twin single beds and 5 seater sofa beds in the common area with breathtaking views of the river Beas and Himalayan ranges. Iris Cottage has an in-house cafe, which is glass-covered from all sides to justify the views of beautiful mountains with snow-capped peaks. The place is very quiet except the burbling sound of river Beas and the natural stream flowing through/within the premises. The river can be seen flowing on the front with beautiful landscape and sunset. It is 1.5 km from Mall Road on Vashist Road. Guest access Guests have access to in-house cafe, Patio, Garden area. Guest can use the Dining area and Common area on either floor of the property and can walk around orchid and premises. Guests can park their vehicles in the Iris Cottage parking. Other things to note For extra bed - Extra mattress could be made available for an extra person for a room. Hot water for the shower: There is a switch for Geyser in each bathroom, You will need to wait for approx 15 mins after you turn on the switch for Hot Water. WiFi: We have free wifi, You can ask for a password on check-in. Iris Cottage is accessed by walking over the trail from the parking area crossing a natural stream flowing from the mountains by a small bridge (distance is 50 meters approx from parking). Though you have access to the orchard for a walk or photography, it is private property. So do not pluck flowers or apples from the orchid. This property has its own identity with more than 80 years of history which was refurbished into this beautiful lodge, so please walk gently when using area on the top floor of the chalet. We have parking space available for 6-7 cars, also there is the option to park on the street.
