Description

INASHIKI NEST is a private, traditional Japanese house surrounded by peaceful rice fields and a tiny field. Not a tourist destination, but a place to experience everyday rural Japan. Wake up to birdsong, harvest seasonal herbs and veges, enjoy fresh herbal tea from the garden, and relax on the engawa while feeling the countryside breeze. Located 40 min from NRT and 75 min from TYO, it offers a quiet escape into the Japanese countryside. There is no nearby train station, so a car is essential. The space [Bedroom] A spacious 14-tatami room (6 + 8 tatami mats) where you can enjoy the morning sunlight. Sleeping on futons in a tatami room is safe and comfortable, especially for small children. Up to 6 futons can be laid out. (Air-conditioned) There is also a 6-tatami spare room located in the center of the house, equipped with heating and air conditioning. [ Shower Rooms] There is no bathtub, but we have two clean shower rooms, ideal for groups. One of them features a nano-bubble showerhead. Shampoo, conditioner, and body soap are provided. [Kitchen] The kitchen is fully equipped and available for your use. We provide cookware (pans, pots, knives, cutting boards), tableware, and utensils. We also offer kid-friendly and silicone tableware for toddlers. Appliances include: Gas stove, microwave, toaster, electric kettle, and coffee machine. In winter, a kerosene heater is available. [Toilets] There are two washlet-clean toilets available for guests. [Living Room] We have a 10-tatami traditional room with a low table (a kotatsu in winter), and a Western-style room with an upright piano. Spacious enough for groups to relax comfortably. [Japanese Veranda/Porch "Engawa"] There is a spacious wooden veranda where you can enjoy reading books, etc. [ Tiny Field/Kitchen Garden] Right in front of the house is our small kitchen garden, where we grow a variety of seasonal herbs and vegetables. Depending on the season, you may experience a bit of harvesting and enjoy fresh herbal tea. Children love finding small frogs like the Japanese tree frog here. ⚠ For safety, the garden is accessible only during daylight. Please stay on the garden paths to avoid stepping on small growing plants. If you're interested, I’d love to guide you through the kitchen garden and share our favorite herbal scents :) [BBQ or handheld fireworks] You’re welcome to enjoy BBQ or handheld fireworks in the garden. A water bucket will be provided for safety. Please inform us in advance if you'd like to use these features. ◉ BBQ/fire pit sets are available for rent (includes a cleaning fee for charcoal). If you bring your equipment, you can use it freely. ◉ [Wood-Fired Outdoor Foot Bath] Optional Paid Experience Our outdoor foot bath, heated with real firewood, is available as a special optional experience. Since this activity depends on the weather, please pay in cash on the day of the activity only if we can hold it. Please see the photo pages for more details. [ For Groups of 7 or More] Our standard capacity is 6 people, but we can host up to 10 people with extra charges for additional guests. ★ Please refer to the “house layout” photo on our Airbnb listing. ★ While there are no convenience stores or restaurants within walking distance, you can enjoy a relaxing stay surrounded by the quiet countryside. ★ My husband, our cat Fuku, and I live on the same property, but in a separate house from the guest accommodation. You can enjoy your stay with peace of mind and in privacy. If you're interested in rural living in Japan, relocating to the countryside from Tokyo, or traveling abroad, feel free to chat with us anytime ;) ★ We do all the cleaning. We take pride in maintaining a very clean and welcoming space. ★ You can also check our website or social media to get a feel for the atmosphere of INASHIKI NEST and the surrounding scenery. *Discount available for stays of 2 nights or more.* Guest access *Since there is no nearby train station, we recommend arriving by car. However, some guests choose to cycle here from Narita Airport or Tsuchiura Station. *We live with our cat, Fuku, in a separate building on the property (the host’s residence). Fuku never enters the guest house. However, if you wish, you can spend about 30 minutes interacting with him in his private room, accompanied by me (the host). Fuku is quite fickle and moody, but he is absolutely adorable :) *For allergy and hygiene reasons, We kindly ask that guests not be allowed to bring pets to the accommodation. *Taxis generally do not come out to this area. Even if you manage to arrive here by taxi, it may not be easy to arrange a return trip, as this is a remote location. For that reason, we highly recommend coming by car or bike. *You can check our current scenery, kitchen garden, and daily life on INASHIKI NEST's SNS before your stay. Other things to note While we maintain cleanliness inside the property, please be aware that being in the countryside, you may encounter insects. We/Hosts are lining in a different house. If you need assistance or have any concerns between 8:00 and 19:00, please feel free to notify us. Registration details Hotels and Inns Business Act | 茨城県 竜ヶ崎 保健所 | 竜保指令第28号
