The Shire House is grade II listed and dates from 1780. Situated in the heart of Lostwithiel and with the river Fowey just 30 steps away. This is a Georgian townhouse with a walled garden full of sun. Expect lots of character, with contemporary design, and with up to the minute amenities. The minimum stay is usually 3 nights but do contact me if you are only looking for 2 nights as I may be able to accommodate you. The space The Shire House has four bedrooms – three king and one double. The house sleeps eight plus the ‘very best’ folding single bed and two baby cots. Should you need less than 4 bedrooms, don't hesitate to contact me and we can discuss a price for your requirement. The reduction in the cost of cleaning and linen for less bedrooms means I can offer you a lower price. This self-catering house has a spacious kitchen with dining table, comfortable lounge, family bathroom with bath and shower and a wet room with shower. There is a plentiful supply of logs for the woodburner in the kitchen and bed linen and towels are provided. Enter the garden through the gate on Quay Street. This is a walled self-enclosed garden which enjoys full sun all day long and is a pretty, peaceful and pleasant place to sit. There is outside space for dining al fresco with a large table, four benches and if you need more seating, just bring out some chairs from the kitchen. No BBQ at the house, but the Co-op, just 20 yards down the road, have instant ones that do the job perfectly. So get the hamburgers, sausages, sweetcorn and peppers sizzling if that is your thing. You will find a spacious and modern kitchen with up to the minute appliances, Bosch hob, oven, microwave, Rangemaster fridge freezer with ice maker, dishwasher and a super polished concrete table seating eight. Perfect for dining at home and so cosy with a wood burning stove. There are two bathrooms. The family bathroom with bath and shower is on the first floor and the tiled wet room, on the ground floor, is tres moderne with a walk in shower and exhilarating body jets.
