Our lovely beach home, Enseñada Del Sol, is just over a block from Sunny Cove beach. It is the perfect space to enjoy a relaxing and private Santa Cruz experience. Our spacious custom built home was lovingly designed and decorated in a beautiful and unique Talavera style. High end finishes and thoughtful touches abound at Enseñada Del Sol. Our home is a delightful sanctuary that is a clean, well-appointed and safe place for family and friends to gather and enjoy all that Santa Cruz offers. We also want all guests and our dear neighbors to stay happy—with this in mind there are strict quiet hours outdoors, from 8pm to 8 am weekdays and 10pm to 8am on weekends. No parties are allowed at Enseñada Del Sol. Enseñada Del Sol was custom designed and built and features a very spacious and open floor-plan with three bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The home features a top-of-the-line kitchen (two, in fact) with premium appliances (Viking, Sub Zero, Miele), a handy laundry room and everything you'll need to create a unique and luxurious Santa Cruz experience. Additionally, Enseñada Del Sol provides guests with an incredibly designed and manicured outdoor living space, complete with a Viking outdoor kitchen, a professionally maintained, seven person, hot tub, a large fire pit, spacious seating and patios (including a wrap-around upstairs deck), and even a heated outdoor shower. Truly everything you'll need to create a memorable experience while enjoying the Santa Cruz area. The house is centrally located to world class surfing spots. Enseñada Del Sol rests closely to both the surf break of "Steamer Lane" and "Pleasure Point". If you are paddling out, or simply want to watch the world class surfers, you have come to right place. Either way the outdoor shower and hot tub will welcome you home! Before leaving the property we require guests to complete the following: ● Wash all the dirty dishes and put them away, where they go. ● Quick cycle wash all towels and start a dryer cycle if any aren’t finished before leaving. ● Collect all garbage, food waste and recycling (PLEASE SEPARATE) and place in the appropriate cans in the driveway. ● Clear out any leftovers you wouldn’t be happy to find from the refrigerator(s) and pantry. ● Replace all furniture and games (both indoor and outdoor) back to where they were upon check in and be careful to put games away correctly so others can enjoy them. ● Turn hot tub down to 80F. ● Turn off all lights, heaters or fans and be sure all doors and windows are closed and keys are left on the counter. Should you prefer to have our staff take care of these pre-checkout tasks or if you choose to not complete the guest checkout requirements we will bill you at a rate of $60.00 per hour, with a minimum convenience charge of $200.00. Additionally, if the hot tub is left dirty we will charge a $150.00 for a drain, cleaning and refill (shower before use and you'll be fine!). Our home is located on a quiet residential street with mostly full-time residents that are our regular neighbors. With this in mind, there are strictly enforced quiet hours for any outdoor spaces (or when you have open windows). Please be conscientious and keep your volume low from 8pm to 8am weeknights and 10pm to 8am weekends. While our home is meant to be enjoyed, inside and out, we must ask all guests to be respectful of the tight-knit neighborhood. QUIET HOURS AND NO PARTY RESTRICTIONS ARE STRICTLY ENFORCED AND VIOLATIONS OF THESE HOUSE RULES WILL NOT BE TOLERATED. Our guests have full access to the entire beautiful home! I don't live locally, even though it is my retirement plan! I have an incredible local person, Gabriel, who will serve as your host and is available to answer all questions and address any concerns. Gabriel is an experienced Airbnb Superhost and is readily available by phone or text (or in person, when necessary). He has lived in Santa Cruz for well over 25 years and can provide local knowledge for great places to have a nice dinner, go for a hike, enjoy local wines, beers and spirits, or simply let you know where to book a surf lesson. Let Gabriel provide you with his insider's local advantage! Enseñada Del Sol is in a fantastic and very central location. The beautiful tide pools at Corcoran beach are just down the street, and a very short walk (less than two blocks) will take you to Sunny Cove or Santa Maria (or "Mo's", as locals know it), both great family beaches! Mo's is a great beach to take a quiet and invigorating long walk. There is a Starbucks around the corner and there are a number of tasty restaurants within walking distance; and don't miss out on the fun local brewery. On Sundays, there is a charming little Farmer's Market only a short walk away. The Boardwalk, the Wharf, Capitola Village and historic downtown Santa Cruz are all just a quick 10 minute drive. The Yacht Harbor and Twin Lakes Beach (with the Crow's Nest, Cafe el Palomar and Java Junction) are a three minute drive or a nice 15 minute walk away. The area is extremely bike and walking friendly, so why not enjoy the area without dealing with the stresses of traffic!!! The house is located centrally in Santa Cruz, with several great beaches within walking distance. The Santa Cruz mountains are a quick 20 minute drive and Monterey is only 45 minutes away--don't forget to stop along the way for Phil's world famous Cioppino in Moss Landing. The house has two gated driveway parking spots. The street is permit parking in the peak summer months, but 2 parking passes are provided. Santa Cruz is a bike, walking, and scooter friendly town. From the house it is an easy bike ride to any major attraction in Santa Cruz or Capitola. Bikes are available for rent and Gabriel would be happy to provide recommendations for a great bike shop. Our home is located on a quiet residential street with mostly full-time residents that are our regular neighbors. With this in mind, there are strictly enforced quiet hours for any outdoor spaces (or when you have open windows). Please be conscientious and keep your volume low from 8pm to 8am weeknights and 10pm to 8am weekends. Additionally, if you bring a dog that is prone to barking please be considerate and keep it indoors, at all times, except when under supervision. While our home is meant to be enjoyed, inside and out, we must ask all guests to be respectful of the tight-knit neighborhood. QUIET HOURS AND NO PARTY RESTRICTIONS ARE STRICTLY ENFORCED AND VIOLATIONS OF THESE HOUSE RULES WILL NOT BE TOLERATED. Gabriel, your host, lives nearby and will reach out to you with a friendly warning if any complaints arise. You will be asked to leave and the sheriff may be called should you fail to react appropriately to any warning.
