Description
Located in the heart of Deux-Sèvres, Le Presbytère des Groseillers is perfectly placed to radiate between Gâtine, Parthenay, Niort, the Poitevin marsh, La Rochelle, La Vendée and Le Puy du Fou. In addition to the surrounding countryside and the Autize stream, guests can enjoy on-site painting exhibitions and musical instruments (piano, guitar, percussion). It's the perfect place to meet with friends and family, stay in peace and relax! The space In 1850, the Baron of Jarno donated a house for the presbytery and a house for the sacristan to the municipality, so that the parish of Groseillers would have a resident priest. In 1905, the buildings returned to the donor's family, who left the use of them to the parish priest until 1965; from which date there was no longer a resident resident. Left abandoned for a while, the old rectory was gradually rehabilitated by somewhat idealistic lovers of the place, first by Françoise, a doctor in a neighboring village, then by François and Liao An-Yu, a painter of Taiwanese origin, who made the place his workshop. Guest access The accommodation (150 m2, 3 bedrooms, a veranda) and its enclosed garden (around 2000 m2) are fully accessible.
