Rustic Forest Secret Spot Cabin w/stream off grid

A private magical camp on a seasonal dirt road near Franklin. Amazing ravine creek view. Park in off road spot, short trail, 1 minute. Cabin w/ one queen bed, table, desk and wood stove. A door and windows w/locks. No electric. Bring your external charger. Outhouse. A shower with hand pump shower sprayer. Many wildlife sounds, often deer, porcupines, owls, and foxes. Please bring: drinking water, camp wood, flashlight, bug spray, extra blanket. Groceries in Oneonta. Open April 30-Oct 15th The space A 3 season cabin, no WiFi but ok cell service. The cabin is close t to the dirt road but tucked into a knoll, there are no other people or buildings nearby. The cabin is a secluded private spot in the woods, in nature. It’s like camping but not in a tent. No electricity, a propane grill with propane, a cooler, get ice and camp wood in Franklin. We provide wood for indoor wood stove. The cabin is not insulated. Basic dishes, coffee percolator. Hilly terrain. There are a few solar light placed around the camp to help visibility at night. Also provided with one camp lantern. Parking for one car off the road but next to the road. A busy day is 10 cars passing by, normally 3-5 per day. If you should see an animal you don’t want near the camp make a lot of noise and they will leave, generally wildlife don’t like people. There are motion lights that will pop on to help see at night. The creek is the main water source used for cleaning. The is a rain catch barrel by the sink. There is a large pot to heat water for a warm camp bath. You should bring your own drinking water. There are bugs, mosquitos etc. This is self check in but feel free to text with any questions. There are places to eat on Main Street in Franklin, the Tulip and the rose, and Yokel deli, (5 minutes away, they have some basic food stuff too). April/May/September/October can have cold nights plan for this with warm wear items. Garbage bags provided. The grill is propane which is provided. Also a cooler (bring your own ice) you can buy it in Franklin. There is a Mirabito gas station 3 miles away. Oneonta is the closest grocery shopping. Pay attention to where your feet land, there are lots of orange and brown newts as well as toads, grass frogs and others on the ground. We do have a resident porcupine so please keep your dogs close at night.
