The Grič Eco Castle

Formerly the palace of the family Šuflaj, one of the homes of the famous Grič Witch, a place where composers created and musicians played, this is a home of travellers, world wonderers, writers, artists, poets and painters. Situated in the heart of old upper town Zagreb, tourists hotspots, the Strossmayer walkway, the Grič Park and the St. Markos church, this exclusive cosy home of 75m2 with a gallery above and a fireplace is the perfect place for your Zagreb trip. The space We clean and disinfect all relevant surfaces starting from the door handle. We do it according to guidelines given here on AirBNB and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). In the apartment you will also have 100% alcohol disinfectant for your use. We will look that you have a safe and warm place. JUST TO NOTE, UPON ARRIVAL THE QUEEN SIZE BED WILL BE MADE. IF SPECIALLY REQUESTED, FOR A 3RD PERSON A FOLDABLE SINGLE BED IS SET. Please let us know if you wish to use the washing machine. More or less, we have everything you need. A gallery with a queen size bed and a good cosy mattress, views of old upper town Zagreb in all directions, cosy reading places, a hammock, heating, cooling, and in addition a fireplace which works only for during winter times, a screen with Netflix, some records and a record player, free homemade olive and coconut oil soap for body, face and hair, free homemade natural air fresheners, a fully equipped kitchen, and do not worry, the dish washer works for you. We work for the last two decades in environmental protection, so we recycle, and would kindly ask of you to do the same. In the apartment recycling bins are provided, all garbage bags are compostable and biodegradable, all cleaning detergents are ecological, all paper is recycled paper, we do not use synthetic fibers, so you will sit or sleep only on natural cotton and wool. Ouh yeah, and all devices and systems are energy efficient. Did we say that you will get free natural homemade olive and coconut oil body, face &hair soap for your stay? You will also get a recipe for a homemade natural soap "1 hour work for 1 year of soap". If you love natural, if you love wood, if you love central, if you love cosy, if you love eco, if you love art, if you love stories, if you love exclusive and a rare find, this is a place for you. THE FIRST AID KIT IS IN THE BROWN LEATHER CASE IN THE CORNER BESIDE THE STAIRS. THE FIRE EXTINGUISHER IS UNDER THE STAIRS BEHIND THE CURTAINS. Guest access We really love this place, and we hope it will be a home for you as it is for us. Please do not hesitate to use anything it offers, but use it with care and leave everything as you found it. Additional stuff you can use is a hammock, an iron and ironing table, a gym matt, washing machine and drying rack, and some more. The apartment is completely yours, but unfortunately our yard is shared by many neighbours and at this moment cannot be used. Other things to note Upon arrival, we would kindly ask for some info from the guests ID, Passport or any other document like drivers license, of all guests arriving. This is obligatory tourist registration we need to do in an online registration form called E-Visitor. CLEANLINESS: 

 Leave everything as you found it. We charge a small cleaning fee but this includes only the standard cleaning. Of course, you do not need to prepare the apartment for the next guests. This is what we do. But for example, dirty dishes and a messy kitchen are not accepted.
 * 3 GUESTS & EXTRA BED? The apartment is made ready and the king size bed is usually prepared for two guests. The second bed is a sofa bed downstairs the size (120 x 190 cm) and can be prepared for a third guests if requested and specified in the reservation. ** FIREPLACE AND FIREWOOD: The main heating system is the gas fired heating system so you will have always warm and cozy. During winter months and the Christmas season we also provide a small amount of firewood. As we do not have a wood storage on location and it is pretty hard to get firewood into the city centre we only provide a small amount for some nice romantic evenings. If you wish to purchase more firewood local hardware stores like PEVEX and BAUHAUS have small quantities for purchase. I hope for your understanding. *** SMOKING IS NOT ALLOWED. **** THE TAP WATER IN THE APARTMENT IS POTABLE (DRINKABLE)! ALL TAP WATER IN CROATIA IS DRINKABLE.
