Otway Ridge Farm & Forest

Ideally located in Lavers Hill, in the heart of the Great Otways National Park and just off Great Ocean Road, Otway Ridge Farm & Forest is a beautiful three bedroom, two bathroom farm house, big enough to accommodate a family but cosy enough for a romantic getaway for two. Explore the 60 acre property at your leisure, highlights include the glow worms in our very own 'Glow Worm Gully' and 40 acres of private temperate rainforest. A short drive to all that Great Ocean Road has to offer. The space The three bedroom home features a main bedroom downstairs complete with its own ensuite with spa bath and spectacular country views. Also downstairs you will find the second bathroom, full kitchen and living areas. Up a flight of stairs to the mezzanine level you will find the second and third bedrooms with plenty of storage space in a semi open plan layout. The property is perfect for families with children as the house includes an enclosed yard and undercover area. There is room for one car undercover but plenty of space for more cars should it be needed. There is also ample room in the garage for anything that you might need kept undercover such as bikes. Guest access You will have full use of the property and it's grounds. Build a fire, relax in the spa bath or take a hike in the 40 acres of private temperate rainforest. After a day of hiking (or relaxing) you will have all of the facilities that you might need to cook a meal or visit one of the local restaurants for an authentic country experience! Other things to note There is livestock on this property and we also have chickens, please help your selves to fresh eggs. Otway Ridge Farm has a separate Eco Lodge on the property which is used by the owners. Expectations Otway Ridge is in a remote area surrounded by mountainous temperate rainforest. The weather can be temperamental and extreme. That being the case we are subject to power outages on occasion. Since we are in the middle of a forest surrounded by wildlife, it may occasionally visit. Some welcome, and some not so welcome. The house is always left in an ideal way prior to your visit, but we cannot control the uncontrollable between our prep and your arrival. We have a cleaner come and prepare the house and ensure it is set up to a standard that we expect most, if not all guests, would find acceptable. But if rare and unexpected situations occur, our ability to solve these issues remotely are limited. We will always do our best to accomodate your needs, but our powers are limited and we hope that our guests are able to assist in solving these rarities. Our primary heating source is a fire place, so please ensure you know how to prepare and light a fire. The house will be cleaned before you arrive with fresh sheets and towels, the floors vacuumed and mopped, toilets, bathroom, lounge and kitchen surfaces all cleaned. We expect guests to clean what they used and put away items as found. This is our home away from home, so we will have certain items and supplies there for us when we stay such as oil, condiments, etc. You are more than welcome to use them. Lastly, this is a lived in house and so will be subject to the usual wear and tear like any home. It will always be clean and liveable.
