Mobile phone reception is patchy in the outback and once you leave major towns the only service is Telstra Next G, and not the Sim cards purchased from Aldi or belong. Roads close with rain so you do need to keep an eye on the weather, provide Liz with your contact details and if in doubt, call Liz before your arrival. Your navigation system may try to lead you through the paddocks to us, this is totally incorrect - or even take you down the wrong side of the river. Getting to Trilby Station from either Wilcannia (south-west) or Louth (north east) is along the Darling River with the choice of going along the western or eastern side of the river. These roads are both similar – and neither is all weather. If there has been rain please check road conditions before heading off. Roads will close with rain – if the road to Trilby Station is closed, so are we!
