Roughsawn Studio is rustic luxury. If you are looking for a PET FRIENDLY farm stay or bush setting that is close to town and the beach...you have found it. Hidden away in the Yamba hinterland, just 8 minutes drive from Maclean and the Pacific Highway. This unique accommodation is designed for the artistic and creative guest who thinks outside the box. You will be staying in a working art and sewing studio. It’s quiet and peaceful. Kangaroos bouncing through paddocks, bird life and bush. The space Our studio has been built with an environmental conscience. Roughsawn Blackbutt hardwood timber has been felled and milled on our land. Windows, lighting and hardware have been sourced secondhand as much as possible. We have created a space that is rustic and earthy but with all the trimmings of lux accommodation. When we don't have guests, we run sewing workshops to teach the art of machine sewing and the skills to repair and upcycle. You will have access to a sewing machine and materials during your stay. It's a perfect place to get away and get into a project uninterrupted. You can even book a private sewing workshop. The studio has a huge wrap-around verandah and a separate bathhouse. The bathroom has been designed for you to have full privacy. Enjoy the beautiful bath under the skylight and large glass wall to watch the stars. Sheridan towels & linens. Guest access Russell Road is an unsealed road. You will travel 2km on a dirt road past the Maclean Golf Club. Our unsealed driveway passes over a cattle grid, dam causeway and continues up to a pin pad gated entry. If it is closed we will send you a code. Your private parking is situated behind the studio on the left. While exploring the farm, please keep your dog on a lead as we have kids, livestock, kangaroos, chooks and our own dog. If you wish to visit us at our main house, please ring/message us before you wander over. Thank you. Other things to note • Please note the studio has been designed with many windows that invite natural light. If you love blackout curtains..this is not the place for you. There are multiple windows for cross ventilation or Air conditioning if you prefer. Firepit outside with wood provided. The studio has insect screens on all windows. PETS: Dogs and horses welcome. The studio yard is fully fenced with hinge joint wire. 20 acres of fully fenced paddocks with water access for your horse/s. House-trained dogs may sleep inside the studio. BYO BEDDING.
