Characterful three storey cottage forming the end part of our 300 year old Devon cob Farmhouse. The cottage features a modern kitchen, huge Inglenook fireplace with log burner, luxurious wool carpets, low beams, big squashy sofa and a superking size master bed with pretty adjoining twin room on the very top floor. The cottage's own garden has two decked seating areas. Set in glorious rolling countryside near Dartmoor, Devon's gorgeous sandy beaches and the vibrant cathedral city of Exeter. The space Higher Hollacombe Cottage is the semi detached end section of our traditional cob walled Devon farmhouse. Set in a valley amidst glorious rolling countryside away from main roads it's private garden is a peaceful place to relax and spot deer, foxes, rabbits, sparrowhawks, buzzards, badgers and bats. Inside, Higher Hollacombe Cottage has wooden beams and a wonderful Inglenook fireplace with real woodburner for cosy nights in. The kitchen has double french doors opening onto a small pretty decked area with table and chairs for al fresco dining. Further down the garden is another seating area with comfortable cushioned sofa and chairs to relax in and soak up the birdsong. If you're feeling more energetic there is a public footpath immediately behind the house which leads up a steep hill to the most spectacular views for miles around, from Dartmoor to Sidmouth! A small cottage staircase leads to the first floor main bedroom and it's luxurious super king size bed with new Tempur mattress. From this room another small staircase leads up to the open plan second floor bedroom with two single beds. Our family farmhouse and Higher Hollacombe Cottage are set in a quiet valley at the very end of a farm lane which we share with two other houses. We are a family home that enjoys the countryside and keep our own hens so you may get a fresh egg or two depending upon when you arrive! Higher Hollacombe cottage is a secluded and peaceful spot yet only a mile outside the bustling market town of Crediton with all it's amenities. Guest access Higher Hollacombe cottage has it's own front door and the garden is completely private. You will have access to the ground floor kitchen, sitting room, bathroom, first floor bedroom and second floor bedroom. Parking is outside the main Farmhouse and access to the Cottage is along a slabbed walkway via the rear of the Farmhouse. Other things to note The first floor bedroom is up the small steep cottage staircase from the sitting room with a door at the top. The second floor bedroom leads directly from the first floor bedroom via another small steep cottage staircase but has no door dividing the two.
