The space Martha’s House lends itself to solo travellers, couples, or a family of four, and your furry family member is 100% welcome. The house is filled with natural sunlight from big picture windows and is beautifully quiet, with a green leafy outlook over the front lawn, to the park and foreshore. The front deck is set up with table and chairs ready for a morning coffee or al fresco dining with some local Tassie produce. There’s off-street parking for two cars, and the garden is fully fenced, so you can relax knowing your pooch is secure and you have total privacy. The house has multiple entrances and you’ll love how spacious and well laid out it is – having a choice of places to dine and relax means that two couples or a family can enjoy space from one another. As you walk into the main open plan living room with a dining nook, it’s filled with light even on a cloudy day, from picture windows overlooking the deck. Guests fall in love with the impressive Ornamental Cherry tree, which is a picture in Spring, laden with blossom. With feature artwork on the wall, coffee and cook books galore, card games, and tasteful vintage furnishings, the sitting room area invites you to kick off your shoes, light the fire, sink into the sofa and chill out. There are two lovely dining areas adjacent to the kitchen and sitting room so if you feel like a night in and want to self-cater, you’re in the right place. Your kitchen is fully equipped with every utensil, knife, pot or pan a chef could want, including twin ovens and cook tops, dishwasher and microwave. You’ll find all the pantry essentials too – no one likes to arrive to find there’s no salt or olive oil!! Off the main living area, there are two double bedrooms (1 x Queen, 1 x Double); one with a new en-suite, and glass doors out to its own deck. Both are a good size, with heating/cooling, bedside lamps to read by, blinds so you can enjoy a proper holiday sleep-in, and fabulously comfy beds with soft bed linen and hotel mattress toppers for a sublime night’s sleep. The main bathroom has a bath with shower over and eco-friendly all-natural toiletries, plush towels, and a hairdryer – we’ve tried to think of everything you might need. There’s even a washing machine, clothes line and airer if you need them for a longer stay. Hobart airport is a half-hour drive & Hobart CBD is 20-minutes. There is a golf course, tennis courts, bowling club, bike track and beach within a stone’s throw of Martha’s House.
