Kamanta THouse is nestled in a 12-villa eco compound on the rice fields in a quiet, traditional Balinese village, 3km south of the bustle of Ubud. Ideal for couples, solo adventurers, families and small groups. Housekeeping, gardening and security included. Great for long-term stays. Breakfast prepared by our staff in your villa on request for a nominal cost. Airport transfers, motorbike rental, car with driver, Balinese massage, tours and babysitting are also available for an addition cost. The space Kamanta THouse is one of 12 villas meticulously designed inside the THouse Klod eco compound to provide privacy yet close interaction with the natural surroundings. Located on beautiful rice fields close to busy Ubud, Kamanta is an island of tranquility. The THouses are made from traditional Balinese materials (iron wood, alang, alang roofs, garden showers) and their open design ensures airflow that makes them surprisingly cool. Pool is shared by other villas in the THouse Klod compound but seldom crowded. If you prefer a hermetically sealed, sterile environment this villa is probably not for you. You will see geckos and ants and other "critters" living their lives in proximity. All beds do have mosquito nets and overhead fans that will ensure a good nights sleep. The staff are members of the village within which Kamanta is located. Many are the children of the landowners on whose land the villas are built. They care for guests as family members and are very responsive to their needs. If you would like to experience Balinese culture and participate in their wonderful ceremonies, the staff will properly dress you and invite you to join them at the local temple and during processions. These are not put on for tourist so please be respectful and don't worry if you make small cultural mistakes. Full moon ceremonies are always interesting. Cremation ceremonies are solemn affairs and very fascinating.
