Room 8 is our largest room with two Queen-sized beds and can accommodate up to five people with a rollaway bed. This spacious accommodation includes a private bathroom with a clawfoot tub. Located on the first floor, next to the hotel lobby, it is not a good choice for light sleepers or late risers. This stately room is pet-friendly. The pet fee for this room is $20 per pet/night. Rates are based on 4-person occupancy; any additional guests over 2 years old will be charged $20/person per night. Originally built to house the workers on the Hetch Hetchy dam in 1921, this charming historic hotel is warm and welcoming with 13 cozy rooms that invite you to snuggle up in quaint comforters during the winter or throw open the windows in the summer. Each room offers the amenities you expect, while reminding you of times gone by. Situated in the California foothills with easy access to Yosemite. Guests have access to the unique rooms, common areas, lobby seating, Keurig station, microwave, kettle and Provisions restaurant and bar and our fabulous garden patio areas (located at our sister property, The Groveland Hotel – just across the street). There is free parking on-site for guests. We are available in person from 3pm to 8pm and via phone from 7am to 8 pm each day to assist you. We are local experts and are happy to answer any questions you may have. We want your trip to be fantastic! Groveland is a Yosemite gateway town that boasts a charming historic downtown from the Gold Rush era. Downtown offers boutique shopping, an art gallery and wine tasting, an historic building walk, park and museum. Groveland hosts the annual 49er Festival and Chili & Salsa Cook off every September, which should not be missed. While Groveland is not accessible via public transportation from any major cities, the YARTs bus is available to take guests from Groveland to Yosemite National Park in the summer and fall. Many local guiding companies offer pick up service for guests coming from the Bay Area, Sacramento and Modesto. There is limited cellular and data coverage in this area. There are in-room phones provided for all guests and free wi-fi available.
