Sambag HideAway Room #1 is located 3 kilometers away from the bus terminal and market in Moalboal Town proper. We are very accessible, yet maintain a feeling of a remote paradise. With private steps leading down the cliff side directly to the ocean and a private beach – it is truly a world away from the hustle and bustle of the town center. Without even dipping your toe in the waters, you can easily spot many turtles that call this bay their home. The space Only 3km from the center of Moalboal, on beautiful Cebu Island, our unique beach resort is truly a paradise to recharge your senses. Steeped in history, this has long been a meeting place for the local people on their way to the town market. The marker of the Sambag Tree (meaning tamarind tree) was used to help navigate from the coast into town. Nestled under the shade of the sambag’s canopy (the tree is now well over 100 years old), you’ll find the perfect respite from the midday sun. If you’d prefer a beach-front view, a 15 second walk will bring you to the incredible vista that spans from green mountain peaks to the emerald waters teeming with fish and turtles. This location is a dream come true for people who enjoy swimming, snorkeling and scuba diving. Our house reef is teeming with colourful fish swimming amongst healthy coral gardens. Relaxing in one of our hammocks, you can forget about routines and let your stresses melt away as the light breeze off the water keeps you comfortable. Once you’ve had enough sun, head under the palm-leaf covered outdoor eating area and enjoy the same view from a shady spot. You may feel away from home still you can experience the hospitality of the people around you. Guest access Our guests can access the whole surrounding of the place like outdoor dining, with a panoramic view of the turquoise ocean waters and the green mountains in the distance, our common dining area is a great place to enjoy your meal. Chill zone area, when you’ve had your fill of adventure and want a quiet place to relax, our chill-zone area with an overlooking view of the ocean and comfortable hammocks is just the ticket. Enjoy the cooling breeze as you take in the vista and recharge for your next activity. Surrounded by tropical flowers, and covered by a native roof, you’ll enjoy the nature while escaping the hot sun. The private steps going to the beach which is good for swimming, snorkeling and diving. Other things to note We organize island hopping at Pescador Island, Turtle watching and Sardines run activity and Canyoneering at Kawasan falls. Renting snorkel gears, shoes and life vest is available. We can also prepare food for guests who will arrive late upon their request. Since Philippines is known of Festivals, there are times that you may hear noises from the town or from neighboring for some celebrations.
