Bowarra Farmstay on the Manning River

Bowarra is an 85 hectare biodynamic beef farm 12 minutes from Wingham and 30 mins from Taree, Saltwater and Old Bar beach. Bounded by the Manning river and Burrell Creek guests have access to plenty of freshwater activities. The house offers a peaceful and secluded stay complete with inside fire and outdoor fire pit. You are welcome to interact with us and our cows, pigs, goats, ducks and chickens. Pets permitted by request. The space The charming federation farm house offers 5 generous bedrooms, 2 large bathrooms and a third toilet. Features include original tallow wood floors, high ceilings, stained glass doors and wrap around verandas. Bathrooms and kitchen living and dining are modern so you can enjoy the ambience of the old with the convenience of the new. The house is ideal for entertaining with a well appointed kitchen and suits gatherings of family, and friends. It can also be base for working in the local area. We have a pianola, dressups, games, books and river and creek frontage. Enjoy a swim in the creek and river or take the 30 minute drive to the beach. You can bring the children up to our house to meet our goats and Greg the pig. Guest access The farm, river and creek are yours to enjoy. Fish, swim, relax, picnic and walk during your stay at Bowarra depending on your desire for adventure. Meet our cows, goats, pigs, ducks and chickens. Other things to note As this is a working farm, you may see us moving cattle and working on the farm. You're welcome to join us as we do so. To enter our property you drive approximately 1km on a dirt and gravel road which is 2WD friendly. You will cross our bridge. Do not cross the bridge in flood. Registration Details PID-STRA-8851
