We love our home town of Penang and there is nothing we like better than to wander it's streets getting a little lost, discovering little gems, both old and new - the food, it's people and all the vibrant colours. We invite you to experience George Town as we do and be a part of this slightly strange, eclectic, incredibly interesting community with all its quirks, nooks and crannies. This is 1of 2 lovingly restored family townhouses that make the perfect starting point to do just that The space This home is one of 4 Straits Eclectic style shophouses built in the early 20th century. They have been in our family for 3 generations. Its highlights include 10ft high traditional Chinese doors, a restored airwell, a hidden zen garden, original peep holes, fitted with a modern bedroom and bathroom. Typical of Straits Eclectic town houses of the 20th century, this open plan house features 15ft high ceilings, and runs 82ft deep. The main entrance, with its unique sliding wooden grills, is flanked by louvered wooden windows which open out to the five foot way.  As you enter from street level you will encounter the lounge area, next to the 100-year-old piano and airwell. Beyond that, the dining area, fully-equipped kitchen and lush garden beckon. Up the original wooden staircase, you will find the bedroom - soundproofed and air-conditioned for your comfort. The TV and living area, plus a large modern bathroom complete this floor.  Though centrally located amongst the attractions and sites of the city, the house imbues a sense of calm and serenity in its occupants.
