All can be accessed via the lift or stairs using your key cards. Other things to note Here are some FAQs. I think the more information the better! ***The shower tub ceiling height will be a low for tall people. ***A pedestal fan is provided for hot days. There is no air conditioning (AC) and it can get hot in summer especially during a heatwave. This is compensated by the economy pricing of our apartment and the convenience. Keeping the blinds down for the morning sun helps. ***Lifts only go to level 12, and take the stairs to level 13 (pictured). ***What are the check in/check out times? Standard check-in time is anytime after 2:00pm / 1400hrs. I will either meet you in person or leave it at reception desk. Late night/early morning check-ins between 10pm to 6am will incur a $35 fee as I outsource the key handover function afterhours. Standard check-out time is anytime before 10:00am. No need to meet me as all doors self lock when closed. In the event we have another guest checking in/out on the same day, then standard check in/check out times apply. But it is flexible as sometimes guest leave early or arrive late - which allows you to stay longer! In your request, please indicate your flight times and ideal arrival/departure times or flight times and we'll do our best to accommodate them! ***When placing an enquiry/booking - The calendar is always updated but when placing an enquiry/reservation booking for accommodation please include as much details as possible such as: flight times, expected check-in time and departure time, purpose of your trip, what you'd like to do in Melbourne and any other questions. That way I can organise my calendar especially if after hours for key handover. I like to screen potential guests first. ***Why no or small cleaning or security deposit fee? To save you costs and my time, I haven't included a big cleaning fee because I operate on trust and in good faith. It is expected that guests will return the place clean as they found it. Don't worry - vacuum cleaner and cleaning materials are all in the apartment. ***Regarding noise levels - There is the city wide Metro Train tunnel works happening and they usually work as notified during the day and night. Outside of these works, it is quiet most of the time considering it is in the busy area of Melbourne but you can sometimes hear neighbours from the thin walls and street noise like the trams and cars. The church bells from St Pauls Cathedral opposite do sound but this during daytime/ early evening. There is an adjacent door to the apartment and you can hear this open/close. I just wanted to be completely transparent in case you or your guests are sensitive to that. **Safety and security (esp. if travelling alone) - In terms of safety its right in the main busy tourist area so it is safe. This place is central and busy from morning to night which is great because as they say - safety in numbers! Like in any city, always exercise caution with those who may appear as trouble. Because it is in the heart of the city there are 5 swipe keycard access points before you can get in. I've lived in the apartment and felt safe because of this 5 point security. First is at the entrance of the building. Second is at the hallway to reach reception/foyer. Third is from foyer to elevators. The fourth is inside the lift. The fifth (and last) is at your door! The first two are open during the day only so people can approach the reception desk/foyer area (its how you access the keys). But the last three points you always need a swipe key.
