Welcome to the Bijou "Obstock" farmhouse. With a lot of rustic charm, the Obstock attracts nature lovers to the Glarnerland. The house is located almost 1000 meters above sea level and can be reached in an hour's drive from Zurich (1 1/2 hours by public transport). Above the village of Mollis, with wonderful views of the Glärnisch, the Fronalpstock and the Rautispitz, the simple life can be enjoyed in the Obstock. The nearby forests, with easy to challenging hiking trails, offer a lot to discover! The space The rustic wooden rooms of the farmhouse spread a cozy holiday atmosphere. From the kitchen side, the antique tiled stove can be heated and a cozy warmth quickly spreads in the room. On the original stove you can cook with fire (firewood available). Alternatively, you can also cook on the simple electric stove. For food supplies there are two refrigerators (one of them is in the basement). 4 comfortable guest rooms (with 7 sleeping places) are available. The living and dining room is inviting for relaxing with a separate reading room. In the garden you can barbecue, play, eat and enjoy the beautiful view. Guest access You can easily travel to the house by car. There are parking spaces in the forecourt, one of which is covered. If you arrive by public transport, get off at the Mollis, Chapellenstutz bus stop and walk the last part of the way (30 minutes). The Obstock farmhouse is idyllically located in the middle of a magnificent mountain landscape. In the area there are a few more vacation homes, farms and numerous hiking and biking trails. The nearest shopping facility (Spar) is in Mollis. The Walen- and Talalpsee lakes are popular day trip destinations nearby. Other things to note The water in the upper floor is drawn from a spring above the house. Since the pipe passes through a cow pasture, we cannot guarantee that the water is always 100% potable. We therefore recommend that you bring your own drinking water. We are happy to provide an initial supply of 6 liters. There is also a kettle on site. Another recommendation is to bring your own slippers! The old wooden floor is sometimes a bit slippery.
