Dartmoor Grange, is approaching 170 years old.Princetown is in the heart of the stunning Dartmoor National Park. The village offers immediate hiking & cycling routes & fantastic country pubs, some shops & nearby restaurants. The house is lovely & homely, v spacious, relaxing & elegant.Glass front log burners & huge Bathstone fireplaces, beautiful lounges &7 sumptuous bedrooms, a great 6 person hot tub. We have a fun lovely garden. Children & dogs welcome Airbnb - “Parties or events not allowed” The space Dartmoor Grange (sometimes know as Chaplains House) is a large family country house we have parking for 4-5 vehicles additionally parking is possible. We are uniquely located in the heart of Dartmoor National Park, close to Tavistock and Two Bridges, Burrator Reservoir and Yelverton. Due to our location guests can easily access cross moor hiking and cycling routes, wild swimming spots, and an incredible variety of spectacular scenery. It’s very accessible for guests to explore many areas, valleys, villages and activities as well as the north and south Devon beaches, and Cornwall including, magnificent beaches, ancient forest, stunning high moorland and magical ‘fairy glen’ river valleys. We specialise in helping guests find the perfect activities whether it's secret spots which are rarely known about by guests to the area or fantastic places to eat local food cooked to order... zip wires to free fall air bag drops, group kayaking to surfing with highly regarded instructors. Shopping and gorgeous towns and markets; Climbing to horse riding or simply stunningly beautiful walks and silence under huge skies. If you're looking for the simpler break then let us tell you about the beautiful hidden gems close by. (We do have a 15% increase over Christmas and new year to cover decorating and addition costs. We do ask for the names of all resident guests and the lead bookers residential address if you are renting the whole of Dartmoor Grange - this is simply a matter of checkin request. NB (On the odd occasion use of the hot tub maybe delayed slightly on your arrival day due to a warm refill and reheat, or an extended clean-we aim to have it functional on these rare occasions by the evening) it’s extremely rare that a slight delay occurs. The hot tub is for your groups soul use, it is not shared. Please remember that we do charge a 15% Christmas supplement and a supplement of 15% for new year also payable pre arrival. Guest access If you book the whole property you will have access to the whole property baring a tiny unadvertised room, a few cupboards and two small outbuildings. The rest of this large Home will be yours to book and enjoy and relax in. We welcome considerate, caring, respectful guests from all over the world. We’d be very happy to welcome you too. Other things to note We feel that Dartmoor Grange is a fabulous cosy stylish and stunning country home and retreat. With an amazing state of the art fabulous all year around luxury hot tub. The house oozes style and feels extremely welcoming; it's recently been fully refurbished to the highest of elegant style. This is a Country House with a great and special homely feel, we have an honesty pot for the drinks cabinet (which can be left for your adult enjoyment - just request). We should clarify that you can charge EVs but via 13amp exterior plug in (overnight charge sees all our guests EVs recharged). We are located next to a beautiful ancient church on the outer edge of the village, only a few of hundred meters from open national park moorland (and a five minute stroll to an atmospheric lovely country pub). We have some wild honey bees too and also a wild nature pond - depending the time of the year you can find frogs and newts... it’s a lovely garden with great walks into the wilds of Dartmoor on our doorstep. We are only a few minutes drive (10 mins) from outstanding restaurants in Tavistock (we can and will advise you well).
