Nestled in the countryside, overlooking the Rodings Valley, Fox Hatch is an ideal base to explore rural Essex, less than 1 hr from London. Sleeping up to 4, this spacious, stylish barn has a fully-equipped kitchen, large dining area & generous seating around a woodburner. Walk through tranquil countryside and rural villages, explore the foodie town of Saffron Walden, Dunmow and the Essex coast, all within easy reach or stay in and chill with something from our seasonal menu. Superfast WiFi. The space Designed by leading architects and completed in July '18 Fox Hatch has a total floor area of 1300 sq ft. The refreshingly modern barn-style accommodation is finished to a very high standard and is the ideal place to retreat to. Bedrooms are furnished with handmade beds and finished with black-out blinds, Egyptian cotton linens and masses of fluffy white towels. Oak floors and underfloor heating throughout. No steps. Nespresso coffee machine. Outside, picnic tables are laid out in the wild flower meadow overlooking the fields. BBQ and home-cooked seasonal food available. Guest access Fox Hatch is private, self-contained and secure. Before arrival you will be given the electric gate code. You also have use of the boot room where you will find a washing machine, dryer, American-style fridge freezer for extra cold storage and ice maker. There is a barbecue for your use outside and benches for dining. We ask that guests refer to the maps provided and do not stray into the barns on the farm or enter the animal paddocks. New this year we have bees which not only provide honey but pollinate the borage we are growing, please do not go close to them or stray off the marked public paths. Other things to note We have tried to incorporate everything we would wish for when staying away from home, such as tea and coffee, oil and a pint of milk to get you started. You just need to bring your personal items. Please let us know if you have any special requests. Should you wish to use the local cycle route (50), flitch way or country lanes we do have bicycles to lend you.
