Relax in the untouched Norikura region. Our cozy home is the perfect place to escape the city and enjoy Japan's fresh air and mountain side. Beautiful hiking right out of our doors. Easy transportation from Matsumoto, Takayama and Kamikochi. Starting in 2025, all buses to Mt. Norikura is require advance reservations. The space NORIKURA REGION We’ve lived in this beautiful region for over 40 years, and we truly believe it’s the perfect place for you and your family to enjoy the beauty of Japan’s seasons in the mountains. In spring, you’ll find cherry blossoms, rare blooming water cabbages, and wild mountain vegetables. You can also visit the famous snow walls of Mt. Norikura. Summer is the perfect time to escape Japan’s heat and humidity. In autumn, the mountains are painted with vibrant fall colors. In winter, you can enjoy skiing, snowboarding, and hiking to frozen waterfalls. Guest access THE BATHROOMS We have shared toilets, with separate restrooms for men and women. Guests love our traditional Japanese-style showers and soaking tubs (ofuro). We have two bath tub. Both with large windows that open to views of the beautiful stream behind the house. OUR SPACE We custom-built our B&B 40 years ago, and guests have always enjoyed the variety of relaxing spaces throughout our home. The shared living and dining room is open throughout the day for reading, writing, or simply unwinding. A community kitchenette is available with a microwave, refrigerator, and coffee/tea. We are more than happy to help our guests with planning their vacation! Other things to note We are located in the mountain side. You can't enjoy city life. Such as Matsumoto Castle or the other sightseeing spot in the Matsumoto City area are far from here. (one hour drive by car) Starting in 2025, all buses to Mt.
